- 1995 freightliner with a detroit 60 series. If you have oil pressure on your mechanical gauge inside the cab but have a check engine code 45 (low oil pressure) this may be your problem. Always check connection and wire to the harness for rubs or corrosion before installing new sensor. From my experience these sensors fail pretty often.
I want to say thank you I just changed mine and this help tremendously 👍🏼
“This is very helpful and a fast answer, thank you
Glad it helped ya buddy!

I got to stop and pick up a sensor driving down the road oil pressure is getting higher and higher.🙄
Mines too. Keeptruckin stored the code and it says oil pressure sensor.

Do you have to drain oil to change it
No you don't.
Was there a low power/ white smoke issue accompanying this?
No this would just be trying to do a engine safety shutdown. If you have white smoke and low power you have engine issues instead of electrical/sensor issues
@@mrfarmer1903 yea that’s what I thought, but computer seems to think different lol

Is there white smoke all the time or only when first start up? You probably have coolant entering one of the cylinders.
What if its making that buzzing sound?
I believe your talking about the air pressure warning buzzer? If it's on you may not be building enough air pressure or have a bad warning sensor.
Back of the head?! Shit
Some are just on the back of the head, some on the side. Both are not too bad to get too. Good luck
