That level of driving really seems superhuman. Always amazed by the skills and the courage of these guys!
Visual acuity has to be perfect,all senses have to work in tardem,very high concentration!for f1,all these have to be better!

It's amazing they don't get punctures within the first 30 seconds.
Tires, they are very different from the ones in your ordinary car and also quite expensive by a significant margin

Rally suspensione can absorb a lot more, so the tyre doesn't get hit ass much
There has been a lot of punctures this rally. Kalle has managed to be ‘lucky’ - ie he is superhuman.

This entire stage seems to have been curved right out of the mountains. Absolutely incredible performance on that terrain. Also, an incredible backdrop with the white steam clouds from the geothermal power plants.
Thank you very much for this beautiful content. If there are any plans to upload another onboard from this rally, I suggest Tänak's camera behind the seats on the stages he had intercom issues. It could be interesting seeing the co-driver making hand gestures and how Tänak manages the driving!

Такое впечатление что они этот участок сто раз проезжали, но это не вазможно по правилам. Как бы хотелось проехать с любым гоньщико на штурманском месте. Все гонщики поголовно там классно ездеют. Kalle saw one of his main challengers stopped halfway through the stage and eased off...yet he posted the fastest time of the stage, his fifth out of six on a clean sweep of Friday of the safari rally . ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!!!

I remember that in the 90’s for Safari rally special chassis were used - heavier and more durable. I wonder how it is now?
I've been looking in to it and there are no major modifications for the new Kenyan rallies. They only cover about 360km of timed stages now as opposed to about 2000km that they did years ago.

How the heck do you make a suspension that on the one hand is soft and compliant enough to handle literal jumps, but on the other hand sharp and direct enough to almost instantly react to the driver's input? The way this car is able to switch directions at a flick of the steering wheel is mind boggling.

I was very much afraid that they would damage the pipe and leave Kenyan citizens without water.
Those are not drinking water pipes... They deliver water to geothermal plants(thus the steaming areas on the distance)

This area is known for geotheraml power. 60% of Kenyas energy is from geothermal. This area has lots of megawatts of geothermal. the steam you see at a distance is probably a geothermal plant
