- This dance of Poco-poco was performed by Folkuniversitetet dancing class students in Linkoping - Sweden, on the 25th of January 2007, taught by Shony from Indonesia. Hope you enjoy this dance.

Ninos, you dance very well... I like your swag... hahha... There are so many versions of Poco-Poco, and it was danced in many countries. But, Just for you to know, Poco-poco is originated from Maluku (Moluccas), Indonesia... The language used is Manado language, and the singer's name is Yopi Latul, a famous Indonesian singer. Just so you know, because, It looks like your dancing teacher comes from Malaysia, with his Malay attire... :)

I love this dance & song, eventhough it's from Indonesia. Like Indonesian should proud of there song, cos what I see this POCO-POCO now around the world. In Malaysia, we also dance using this song. Thank for support the music industry.

The writer was inspired by the beauty of Yospan Dance from Papua and Wayase Dance from Ambon. And it makes sense if the movement like a cross because most people in Papua and Ambon are Christians

Man I remember this! I used to live in Celigon and go to the international school there (C.I.S) nd our dance teacher taught us this version of the Poco-Poco, but I don't think this is the traditional version. Still I loved it! This brings back great memories

I am Indonesian from Bandung, a city where a lot of Malaysians go for shopping. Bandung is the only Indonesian city where there are three times a day flight from Kuala Lumpur. Furthermore, only in Bandung Malaysian can use the Ringgit. Isn't it beautifull ?

@purnomor I'm inclined to disagree with your views. It would be easy to get carried away with the belief that we own a certain right towards culture. However, one must not forget that culture is indeed an abstract entity that can never survive on its own. It is with that respect that we cannot ignore the fact that Malaysia & Indonesia owns a shared culture that has been surviving well for generations. It is also noteworthy to mention that culture belongs to a society & not a political entity.
