The little girl signs so beautifully. So crisp and clear. What a delight to voice for!

I like that you play the ASL without the English audio first. It helps me practice ASL.

What a fluent signer...and only 7 years old?? Wow...she has a great future ahead of her.

I guess it's her first language. If every deaf child was identified early and immersed in a sign language in infancy, they'd all be super fluent by seven.

I understood her age and name and that she was talking about a girl that hadn’t taken classes and she had a lot of friends but I didn’t know it was about ballet, and at first wasn’t sure 2 of what she had. Stories...

It's for people learning to interpret. If you don't already know ASL you need to start with an ASL class.

LEARN TO INTERPRET FOR DEAF CHILDREN!
Why? There's only just a few of them. Not worth the time, when there are so many normal children to be helped. With the resources that it takes to "reach" one of these kids, you could put at least ten regular kids on their way to college.

Your right. It's okay to forget about one person, because who cares about the individual! It's not like each individual person is important in this world. Not like one person can change the world with science (Newton, Einstein), or literature (Dickens, Kafka, Rowling), or psychology (Freud). They shouldn't have the opportunity to impact our society because they aren't important and have nothing to contribute.

Superior people will inevitably rise above their situation. Just as with ALL of the folks you listed here. : )

Yes, but that doesn't mean they must do it alone, just as many of these people didn't. A lot of these successes were supplemented by people giving them the opportunity to succeed.

Wow you really think that's ok to say...and if that one Deaf child has the cure for cancer? Or what if that one Deaf Child will become a doctor and save your life? Or how about this, what if that one Deaf child was yours? Is it still ok to forget about them? Heres a fact for you 90% of deaf kids are born to hearing Parents and something as common as the chicken pox can lead to Deafness in a child. SO next time you think its ok to go and make a statement like that please remember that Child could be yours.
