Guys, If you are here for Red Dead 2, here is a great tip: "if you quit before you know you're about to lose you don't lose the win streak" That's from user G K, Hope it helps you!
dude i can’t believe the production quality on this channel, especially when i saw the number of subscribers. you deserve wayyy more. great work. suggestion: how to play backgammon?
I think it's really cool that people found their way here because of Red Dead 2. If only Far Cry 5 would have a Rummy 500 minigame then my channel would be set! hehe
Thank you so much my mom got me a dominos set for Christmas I had no idea how to play it I kept on looking on more and more tutorials and I was confused until I saw this one and I got to understand it more thank you so much have a great day
Amazing video and quality, you deserve alot more subscribers. I came here because of rdr2 because I want to complete a challenge. You explained really good in my opinion.
I know there are a bunch of versions of dominoes, what is the version where you are only able to score in multiples of 5s, because I thought that was draw. The way we play each player is looking to drop a domino that will get the pips on the board to equal a multiple of 5. So a total of 5, 10, 15, 20, etc scores but anything in between will not score. Example - if someone drops the double 6 (12 pips) it is always good play to drop the double 4 (8 pips) because that will score you 20 points (8 + 12 = 20). Usually we play the first to 250 points wins. The point of getting rid of your dominoes first is also strategy because it means you get to lay the 1st domino in the next round. So if you wanted you can drop the double 5 (10 pips) for 10 points right off the bat. The only problem with opening with the double 5 is that if the next player has blank|5 they can also score 10 points , then the double blank can follow for an additional 10 points to an opponent. Strategically the best domino for to start off with is the 2|3 because it gets you 5 quick points and it's not a domino anyone else can score off of. I'm pretty sure scoring on a multiple of 5 is the real way the game is played. The version your video described is fun but also the kiddie table version we teach the youngsters who don't yet know their multiples of 5s, aint nobody losing dollars or cigarettes at that table. Anyway, I'd love to know if we are talking 2 different games or if we are talking 2 different versions of Draw.
Answering my own question - The version where players score in multiples of 5s is called Muggins. Which I still think is the standard version all the homies play. In any case, both are fun. Thanks for the good videos!
So once the game has started and both spinner sides have been started the spinner is closed right? Like say spinner is double 5 once two sides are connected then the spinner double 5 is closed?
Amazing quality brother! Do u mind if I share this across all of my social media platforms? You need exposure for sure! I hope your channel skyrockets asap! I'll do my best to help in doing so! BTW, I learned a lot from this; I'd say this is by far the best tutorial on the internet!
Domino is one of those games where it's confusing to explain (especially some of the other styles) but easy to learn watching. I remember trying to read the rules for years and never getting it. This was a great video, I'm subbing. I'll check out your other vids
I've asked him to explain it better. I'm really having a difficult time understanding this game and it's making me so frustrated. Out of the 8 videos I've watched trying to learn this game, not one person has explained why a tile is put in the middle of another tile. Why not just put it flush to the tile. Meaning, he played a double 5 as the first tile, but then he put another tile in the middle of the 5's. Why not just put it flush against the top or the bottom of the first 5 tile played? And what the heck are those solid lines separating the tiles? No one has explained that yet. As well, what are the blank tiles used for? Boy, I'm a total idiot I guess.
@@margote8072 im in thr same boat right now. but, i think the reason for putting the doubles sideways is to mabey save on space if you dont have ample room for a big feild of dominoes. and the blanks, some people use them as wilds as far as i know. thats all i got realy. it seems that everyone has there own little versions of this game
In other types of domino games you can branch off the double ends, but in this game it has no effect on gameplay you just put it that way out of tradition. Hope that helps! 🃏
I was always told the first double you play to start the game. You can play off all four sides but only the first double you play that starts the game. Is that not true?
Dimitris, Yes! There’s lots of variations like that! Two examples are 5-up and chickenfoot. Would you like to see more tutorials for Domino games on this channel?
@@Rulies Sure, I would like to see what they play in tournaments, not because I want to participate, but because I think the tournament rules should be kind of more popular/official than the others. Currently wherever I turn to, there is a different version :) Thanks for everything. !
@@Rulies Could you cover other games we can play with a 28 set dominos? I already know 3's and 5's...maybe something different? Preferably a 2-4 player one. Thanks in advance!
Good question Fuzzman! Luck does play an important part of this game, but here are a few tips that can help turn the odds in your favor: 1. Use your doubles as soon as you can, because they only offer one option. 2. Dump your high value dominoes as soon asap, so you don't get stuck with them. 3. Try to figure out where your opponents hand is weak, and use that to force them to draw more dominoes. Does that help? Let me know if you win! :)
@@Rulies it helped but unfortuantely i didn't win, still a victim to lady luck i guess haha. i just thought there would be more stratergy to this but seems its quite simple! thanks for the advice
I guess you can't win them all! Similar to playing cards, there are lots of different games you can play with a set of Dominoes. In the future I will be covering some others that involve deeper strategy. You might prefer them more.
That's a good question Nathan. Check this part out: @3:40. A person must draw dominoes if they can not put down. The key to winning or losing is whether you need to draw additional dominoes or not. Whoever draws less additional dominoes will go out first and win the hand. Try to figure out where your opponent is weak and use that to your advantage! Hope that helps.

But why did you place the tile with the line in the middle? That's where I don't understand what people are doing that. What is that line in the middle dividing the tiles and what's its use? Like you played a 5, so why didn't you abut it next to one of the 5's and why did you place it down with the line in the middle? Why not just place it flush with the first tile with 5's? And you did the same with the 3's. You put the tile in the middle of the tiles of 3's. Again, why didn't you just put it flush to the top or bottom 3? And what about those blank tiles? What are their use or how do you use those? I've watched like 8 videos and no one has explained the reason for this. So frustrated!!! Please, please, please someone explain this better for me.

les règles peuvent varier, selon les traditions. i played with rules quite similar to what you do explain. double six? no? so double five to start the round. Yes? No? No double five, so then double four, perhaps?, Yes? No? and so on, double three, double two...... The winner of the round was the people which had the smaller number of points indicated in dominos remaining in his hand, when nobody could add a valid domino to play on the table and could pursuit the game. Of course, the one who has used all his dominos win the round, immediatly. So points need to be count at that time. Double were counted double points, of course: double white: zero, double six: twenty-four! Many rounds were generally needed to achieve an addition equal to 100 points or more wich was signifiyng end of the game Ideal is , i think , four players.
