MERLIN webinar #25: Advancing freshwater ecosystem restoration in Europe - an EcoAdvance perspective

This webinar will explore the notions of success and impact in freshwater restoration. EcoAdvance has been gathering and analysing data to identify the key factors that make a freshwater restoration project prone to success. Mid-project, this session will share initial findings from our survey assessing the respondents’ opinion of factors including the motivation for projects, the role of community and stakeholder participation and education, measurable goals, spatial and temporal scale, synergies with policies such as the WFD, CAP and the EU Biodiversity Strategy targets. Showcasing role models from across Europe who demonstrate pathways to success and tool development in progress will help projects communicate and visualise impact both for stakeholders and the broader community.
