My sister works for the U.S. Forest Service. Part of her job as a forester (not a ranger), is to help identify and designate which trees should be cut down, and to help decide which company gets contracted out for the cutting, removal and sale of these trees. As Katie Porter so clearly pointed out, the Forest Service already has a system in place for doing this, and all Boebert's policy would do is give away contracts for clear-cutting swathes of government land for profit, selling off the privilege of cutting these trees to the highest bidder. Ask yourself this: who profits from this? Why would she introduce an unnecessary policy unless she was getting something out of it?
Oh, she would definitely be in on it and getting herself a big cut!

When I heard her amendment about using the forest for xmas tree's made me wonder.. Has she ever visited a National Forest? A high percentage of those tree's are HUGE.. searching the forest for a 6' tree, when most of them are way taller.. lol Those trees would not be used to be brought into your home.. That is why the have xmas tree farms for harvesting xmas trees. .. so they can be cut down and fit into the average home.. Oh boy! lol
