I’m so excited to play this. I remember playing the hell out of it on Wii U,m. I knew where every fruit was, how to beat the enemies, and was still surprised every time I played it. Def the best in the series.
I would honestly buy just Pikmin 3 for 60$ again. I don’t give a rats ass about the side plots or whatever

I am excitedly anticipating this game and really enjoyed this pre-release overview. Your comment about Pikmin being, pretty much, it's own genre reminded me of playing Overlord. Similar in some ways and different in others but it is the only other game that I could see being classified as the same genre.
Someone needs to bring Overlord back

This game is amazing, but the first few days really put me off in the beginning.
So if you try this, keep going a bit because it's soooooo good! And it gets better the more you play!
It should have really been 60fps. We don’t ask for much graphically as switch users but that would have been nice.

Or at least 1080p? This is the only first party port that hasn't had an improvement in resolution, just seems like a lazy port job in the graphics department. This should have no problem running 1080p on switch
@@Nahtan123 of all the Wii U ports to switch I think it’s safe to say pikmin 3 had the most going on graphically in the original game, like Chris said in the video it might be a lot more difficult to upscale a game like this especially on hardware that is not necessarily the best for raw graphical power. However if you really won’t buy a game due to graphics I honestly feel really bad for you 😂 you’ll miss out on so many great games (like windwaker for example)
@@jamesstephens1660 Nah I wasn't gonna buy it anyway, it's not my type of game tbh. The switch might not be a hell of a lot more powerful but if the Wii U could handle it at 720p 30fps, the switch could do 1080p in docked at LEAST in singleplayer mode. I could understand a lower res for multiplayer but for the whole game it baffles me since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still one of the best looking games of last generation and runs at 1080p60
I've been seeing adverts of this recently and they describe is "if you like Animal Crossing, you'll love Pikmin."
Pikmin 3 Deluxe is truly worth playing on the Switch. I bought the game, played the game, and finished the game last week.
Played the demo. I went from "Wth is this game?" (from watching the trailer) to "I gotta get it now!"
I liked the game very much, but is incredibly short. I finished everything with all fruit and side story in less than 15 hours :/ but the boss fights and puzzles were super entertaining, I just wish it was bigger and I had more things to solve.
I haven't played Pikmin since the first game on Gamecube and I enjoyed it then. I wondered if this would be good, then I played the demo and was confused by how much fun I was having. It's more fun than it has any right to be! Try the demo, people!
So fun.... but WAAAAAAAAAY TOO SHORT! I couldn’t believe I had beaten it when I did! 19/20 days worth of play?? It basically wasn’t worth picking up fruit! Why so many containers!? 😂

I played Pikmin 1 and 2 first time about a month ago and bought 4 yesterday. I think im getting this one when it goes on sale
When I’m contemplating on dipping 60 bucks into pikmin so I go into the comment section to see if it’s worth it but I see a bunch of people saying it is but I don’t know if it’s actually people who really liked the game or pikmin fans who want more people to buy the game so Nintendo could see that people still buy the game so they could make pikmin 4

Love your versions of the music! Pikmin 3 Deluxe came out at £49 which I felt was too high, but it’d now reduced so a lot better! That said, its a stunningly beautiful game.
I tried the demo and I'm really positively surprised! Don't know if I wanna spend $60 on whats basically a Wii U port though... probably spend those kinds of prices on something actually new like AC Valhalla. Nintendo pricing is a little ridiculous sometimes.
This has all the dlc included and added co op for the entire game the only other good port was mario kart 8 deluxe

I owned a wii u and never bought this game for some reason. Playing it on switch feels just as good as any other new AAA game coming out this year. Kudo to Nintendo for knocking this one out of the park

Got it and love it!!!! Easily worth a pick up.
So I beat the game and will say it isn't bad. However, if your looking for the dungeon aspect you will get one level but there really isn't much too it. I like the fruit aspect, and how the days can be extended but I still feel like the game ended too early.

Its not a demand for better performance its an expectation set by nintendo by charging full price
Personally I like my Wii U and with the exception of a few games like animal crossing New horizons most of the switch games I would want I have on Wii U, and so much cheaper than buying on the switch, which is what I did, enabling me to sell my switch lite and upgrading my PS4 best of both worlds for me. I can understand the price of switch games being high on the cartridges, but why still so high price on downloading digital copies.
I loved this in 2013, but not enough to pay 60 dollars again for it.
I think RTS is a valid type for Pikmin and yeah there is really nothing like it on any other platform.

@@luigidabro Sure I had plenty of fun with my wind waker edition coming with the digital game, and we got Mario kart 8, Donkey kong country tropical freeze, super smash bros for Wii U was my most play before the switch released and port everything, now I play handheld on every game ports it's the best of both world to replay these games on the switch.

This feels like such a hard pass for me. Even though I could complete Pikmin 2 in under 2 hours I still appreciate the unlimited time to exolore each map and enjoy the design.
The choice to include a piklopedia in the game but give you a finite amount of time to complete the game in just doesn't make sense to me.
Wasn't a massive fan of Pikmin 1. Adored Pikmin 2. Pikmin 3 seems like a very hard pass for me. Maybe pick it up on sale...? Can't see the point of multiple save files only to spend a limited amount of time on each one before getting slapped for spending too long? Feels weird man
I don't think its really that much to demand 1080p at least from this game. Every first party port so far managed it and the Switch definitely shouldn't struggle with it.

It's still strange to think that the wii u, if it hadn't flopped, would just be on its way out now, when we are so used to the term 'switch'.
And the Wii U was better.
I loved the demo, which was my first-ever experience with any Pikmin, and really look forward to getting the full game!

I had this same exact experience. In November when I first got my Switch I didn't own any games yet so I downloaded the Pikmin demo. Before that I had no experience with Pikmin and now I'm in love with this series!

I appreciate when people mention how Woolly World needs to be on Switch. I would agree. I don't think it's time with the 3DS means it has hit the masses like it would on the Switch.

The Co-op makes it worth it to me. My wife and I put many hours into this on the Wii U version and we always talked about what a missed opportunity it was not to have Co-op in the story. Bingo Battles are amazing too, those should have been online.

One problem I've always had with this game however is the over-abundance of fruit, and the fact that up to four crew members can easily live off of one juice cup. I'd rather the characters consumed one cup of juice *each* at the end of the day, as to drive exploration and focus on fruit finding and thus to make the game a tad more challenging. And once Louie is held captive on your ship, that will feel like a real detriment to your cause and you'll want to push ahead ASAP. Pretty soon I'll begin a run on Ultra-Spicy where I will try to incorporate day-skipping to achieve this effect, though, who knows how tedious that will be...
Nintendo needs to bring Pikmin 1 & 2 to the Switch, please 🙏 😃

Played the demo co-operative with my wife and loved it. Been looking forward to the release ever since. Such lovely graphics, good story, fun and entertaining. Just don't dont know how I will cope if any of the Pikmin get eaten 😳 !!!! Such a good game and finally another great local co-op game - there just isn't enough.
Loved watching my friends play the GameCube versions when it came out, might have to get it for switch
No mention of the best mode of the whole game? Bingo battle? Also getting platinum in all missions is even more fun than the story mode. I loved this game in Wii U. My girlfriend and I have played for over 100 hours. My most played game of Wii U.

I played the demo for at least 5 hours and I finished in one day without counting the tutorial
How? The demo is pretty short. Took me 1 hour to finish it.
@@trenken I played it many times (10 hours now) because I loved it and until I perfected my runs
mClassic (or similar hardware scaler) users: Since the game only uses 720p anyways, set the Switch's TV output to 720p so the mClassic does proper upscaling. If you don't, the Switch will actually send a 1080p signal to the mClassic, and you won't get the full benefit of the mClassic's upscaler. This game (and similar games that top off at 720p) really shines when you do so :).
Can confirm, the game looks noticeably better when I did this with my mClassic.
As very old veteran gamer, IF you haven't played pickmin and you want fresh FUN experience,then look no further than PICKMIN series. The only huge complaint I say about the franchise it doesn't have online campaign co-op (Pickmin 4 Nintendo warning).NOW THIS IS a tragedy as it's perfect fit for it and would open it to so many more potential gamer's. You don't need 12TF of power to make FUN GAMES TO PLAY. with covid19 we human s need that more than ever. Just play. Be safe All

I didn’t get the wii u so I was incredibly happy this was ported. The original Pikmin game came out when i was ten and it’s been one of my favourite franchises ever since. Can’t wait for Pikmin 4!

Its not worth it. If you buy it use the physical version and resell it. Barely any content in this game and highly ovepriced. And if you are a pikmin lover the ending will be just verrryyy disappointing.
