I haven't done scienceless ruins rush yet, but I find concept of ruins rushing pretty vague. For some people it's getting mag and going out, for others it's stocking on thulecite crowns and suits. Personally, if I went for ruins rush, I would go for mag and star caller staves since I find those more valuable than buncha thulecite crowns. Some ruins rushers kill ancient guardian but some don't so yeah, pretty vague concept as I said. I did however plan to do ruins clear no damage but that video would be long and probably boring to watch. By clear I mean completely kill and exterminate everything I can, such as clockworks, monkeys, killing ancient guardian as well as mine every statue and get all thulecite I can possibly get. Also I don't find scienceless ruins rush that good in my opinion because while it may be faster sometimes, most of those aim for stocking on armor and making mag as I said, while for staves you need living logs and unless you're Wormwood or find some mush gnomes, that ain't happening (totally normal tree is an option as well but that's also rng). But do let me know what you think and tell me what does ruins rush mean for you if you don't mind. Also let me know if I should even bother with damageless clear or not. For me, personally, a ruins rush is complete when you kill AG, get a couple of star callers and a mag, crowns and suits are secondary, though crafting a couple is always easy and useful. I think it would be really cool to see a run like that no dammage, wether it's scienceless or not. About the no dammage ruins clearing, I think an actual video where you complete it could be a bit tedious, but I would love to see it as a proof of concept. For example, a video where you show how you would clear every setpiece / enemy individually, instead of actually doing it for the whole map. In any case, this is a very cool video, the fight is very interesting, since it doesn't take much longer than the usual order, but it uses less resources since you take less damage. I might try it in an actual run. Keep up the good work ^^
@@angrybomb1 The thing with ruins in general is that unlike bossfights which are mostly consistent, ruins rushing success is RNG reliant in terms of your world generation. For example, when I played one world with a friend, my goal was to rush mag for both of us and make a pick/axe for nightmare werepig in the future. However, our world sucked so much that our ruins were small and we only had ONE statue that held yellow gem in entire biome full of them... I didn't kill AG because I promised to keep him alive so that we could kill him together, but all in all, I had to rely on broken clockwork RNG just to get the yellow gem for second mag, and that was terrible feeling. I did get yellow gem in the end but that was a huge mess overall. Anyway thanks for reading and I'm glad that you enjoy my content. Have a nice day!

oh hey, 9 months late but i actually did this a long time ago, though my fight was *way* more scuffed because i didn't understand how the knight worked at all and was using crazy speed boosts
Unless you're fighting level 3 shadow knight you don't need a lot of speed buffs (although even level 3 shadow knight requires cane + road at minimum and the rest is up to you) . Here road isn't necessary at all but if I'm going to fight level 3 shadow rook anyway, might as well use it.
@@moat_n_coat Man, you are the best DST creator, you are considering making a video on a topic just because someone asked in a comment, that's great. I would also agree that brightshades are normal enemies, but when there's 3 of them together they become a bit tougher.

That wasn't really my plan but I guess since I got requested just now I could.
Brightshades are just regular enemies in my eyes though.
