Lived in Hillsborough county since moving here with my parents back in 1972. Moved to Valrico which smelled of orange blossoms! There were so many citrus groves. All of my friends (and then my sister) had and rode horses! Now, its just awful. Looking to possibly moving Northward toward Hernando county before that, too becomes cement, congestion, and crime ridden. :(
Safety Harbor is waay better than Dunedin, but it's getting a bit overdeveloped, especially by the spa, the houses are stacked onto each other by the ugly ramada in condo they put near the fountain. It's tragic what they did there and there are new townhouses planned. Safety Harbor is definitely on a downward trajectory.
To mention Dunedin at #1 and then proceed to ignore it entirely because you dont agree with the " quaint" description due to the number of people seems rather biased. This walkable city belongs on your list and has far more than your home city Tarpon Springs which imost visitors will tell you is on the boring side

Visiting Tampa area again in September and didn’t know there was a big Greek community area. I am Greek so I will certainly be stopping by. :)
There are Greek pockets in Tampa, Clearwater and Tarpon Springs. Tarpon stands out among them all though!
