@@AydnPolat just don’t plan on staying in Malé. Every other island is so much better if you’re coming for the natural beauty. It’ll also be a lot cheaper if you’re staying in a local place outside Malé

Maldives is a country of beautiful islands. The airport is on an island and main city (Male) is on another island. There are regular ferry service between airport island and main island. The hotel (Somerset Inn), we stayed, was very good in hospitality. It is very easy to change US dollars in the country, it is slightly not easy to change other currencies. Banks at airport at departure will only change the remaining Rufiyaa (which was exchanged during arrival).
Streets in main city are very narrow. Bikes are mostly parked on the streets. The taxi can be hired for local transportation. To go to other islands, ferry service (which are relatively cheaper than private speed boats) can be used. Male island is highly populated but other islands do not have much of population. There are private island and private resorts as well.
When the Water level is increasing, Maldives will be modern version of Venice..

@ 01:32 on the left side with the red car was my school. In the city Everyone knows everyone literally coz it's such a a small society. I have all my family in that city. School is 5 mnts away so is the work place from home. most ppl come home for lunch coz there's no commute. Typically people shop for groceries daily instead of weekly coz grocers are right next door.

Maldives is the best place to visit,I think, in south Asia. So developed, history, clean, safe, not that expensive, friendly people etc. It is 100% times better than traveling India.

Ashique Chowdhury nope male looks small and compact,Mauritius is much more modern and a world class island,plenty of lakes and rivers and abundant of fresh water very green too,lots of expats,places such as tamarina resorts, azure and many more are amazing.
Brother don't forget, India is equipped with best Hospitals and Docs, and many people visit and go happily, probably you have not traveled beyond Kolkata.

Tour MV Yes,after my writing i have seen on Wikipédia one third of the population and Malé about 17 500 people for one km2 may be like Malte in South Europe... Malé island only 1, 7 km long n 1, 1 wide, very surprising in the Indian Océan, by example Mauritius island has 600 people/km2 and it's like in the Nederland !!!

Manldives Archipelago very small.But so beautiful . Special is the Malé capital .These is capital don't large with area 5,8 kilometer square but very rich and development ,clear and luxury .Althought this is capital between India Ocean similar pearl .Very beautiful.I want to be visit Maldives . It must be terrible when you have nowhere to flee from exhaust gases! But it isn't much different in many cities on the mainland - certainly even much worse, given that such places can be much bigger than Male. I just wonder why Male does not seem to require its residents to use electric vehicles. For the distances of the island, such an equipment should clearly suffice.

I ve been there 1979, only sandy roads with Kaurishells allover. The biggest building was the Mosque.
Altitude 1 meter. A big wave and everythings float away. One day, you will hear that this Island sinks in the Ocean, because building on Sand.
