Welcome to the Electric Callboy rabbit hole!!!! You should watch their other videos: "Hypa Hypa", "Pump It", "Tekkno Train", "Ratatata", "Fckboy", "Parasite", "Mindreader"......
It's also a totally whack combo. Electric Callboy and Japanese Kawaii Metal. However, I Love their Interpretation of Everytime we Touch. That was the first Song I've heard of them which Made my trance Heart Beat faster. And since then, I've heard so much more. They would have been such an absolute banger on Eurovision.
Yes please do reactions to all of these videos! The good thing is that you can react to all their songs in front of the camera as the videos are always pretty crazy and every song has a different vibe. Their base is always Metalcore/Technocore and they mix that with German Schlager, Neue Deutsche Welle, Deutschrap etc. Fckboy is the exception here, the song is a declaration of love for early 2000s skate songs like Blink182 or Avril Levigne. They perform the song together with the girl rock band Conquer Divide.
Electric Callboy has applied to the German television station NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk in the ARD association) for the German preliminary selection of a song for the ESC from Germany. Unfortunately, the NDR canceled the group "Electric Callboy" on the grounds that it was not radio-friendly. What was meant was the song they were applying for, "Pump it". Due to this rejection, Electric Callboy became even more famous on the Internet, including on UA-cam. Join in Australia, USA and Europe on Live with great success.
"We Got The Moves" was also in the German selection process. The band was among the top 20 in the internal selection. They were excluded from it due to a cooperation between the NDR and radio stations to promote the final songs for the preselection show on heavy rotation. Unfortunately, these radio stations were targeting 30-50 year olds and mainly played pop, so Electric Callboy were too hard. After the exclusion, the band felt (and rightly so) so badly treated that they would never apply for the ESC again. It is still an open and gaping wound in the hearts of ESC fans, not just from Germany, but from the entire ESC bubble.😢😢 When die rumours first came out that EC would like to run for ESC the international ESC bubble exploded and the victory for Germany was near ...
conspiracy theory says they didn't want EC to go because hosting ESC is very expensive and they don't have that money. I think it would have been awesome. I'm at the upper end of that 30-50 bubble btw and i don't think age has anything to do with it. NDR's jury is just too stuffy and lame.

They did apply for Eurovision, but the responsible people said that their music isn't radio friendly - their fans went nuts, but the decision wasn't changed - their song "Hurrikan" is a kind of "answer" for their neglectin....
"Hypa Hypa" was their first big hit with Nico their, at that time, new vocalist for the clean singing (Kevin is doing the harsh vocals). It was released in the middle of the pandemic and other German artists tried cover versions. So there are now several versions in different musical styles of "Hypa Hypa". Electric Callboy even produced and released an EP with all versions, original and covers. My personal favourites are the Medieval Folk Metal version by Saltatio Mortis (availiable on Saltatio Mortis channel) and the Pop version (by Sasha). But there is also a Hip-Hop version (257ers), a Country version (The Boss Hoss), a Metalcore version (by We Butter the Bread With Butter) and a classical (?) version by Axel One. Electric Callboy is a big rabbit hole whorth checking out. Their music videos are never disappointing. I would recommend starting with "HYPA HYPA", which was released directly before "We got the moves" and was their UA-cam breakthrough. Then go chronological from there... EC wanted to go to the ESC but was denied by the stupid german TV station which was responsible for the nominees. The stupid reason they gave was that the song from EC is "not suited/compatible for the radio" and they chose the usual boring pop artists instead. After this EC actually answered to this with a special song, I will not spoiler which one, but if you watch/hear it, you will know XD ...
Little correction, Hypa Hypa was released in June 2020 and WGTM in September 2021. Hypa Hypa was on the EP "MMXX" with Hate/Love, MC Thunder part 2, the reproductions of Drama Queen and Monsieur Moustache and Prism feat. Tobias Rauscher. WGTM is from their TEKKNO Album.
They are freakin' hilarious! IMO they are the current peak of musical comedy and good-mood party. I'd stick them in a similar crazy category as Deichkind (back in the day) or LMFAO
The German entry to the ESC shows the competence of the people who choose who gets to compete for Germany... there is none. ‘Germany: 0 points’ is now a legacy.
EC has some genius songs. If you want to listen to some serious EC songs: Don't miss: "The Scene". You have watched Seed - "Ding"? - So, you have to watch the version of "Feuerschwanz" (and other songs of them). When saying Feuerschwanz, then you have to watch "Saltatio Mortis". Maybe a cover you could know if you are a video game guy: "The dragenborn comes". They have good songs as well. Regarding collabs with EC, this leads to another German Band/Duo: The Boss Hoss. Why have you stopped Peter Fox? Whats about "Zukunft Pink"? ...or did I miss this reaction? Nina Hagen is also a very famous German singer. A funny one regarding German bread obsession: "Baby got Laugengebäck" 🙂
Hey Dwayne, since you liked Gentleman in the beginner song ahnma you reacted to recently, check out „See dem coming“ or „Dem gone“. Both from his debut album from 2002. Love your reactions, keep em coming ❤
Haha finally Electric Callboy on this channel! 🤘 They wanted to join ESC but the german officials didn't let them go to the national selection 🫣 You should check out more by them. Maybe "Hypa Hypa", "Pump it" or "Ratatata" feat Babymetal
The band was originally called Eskimo Callboy. A neighbor of one of the band members suggested the name. The term Eskimo was criticized early on because it is a foreign term for the indigenous population in North America. Inuit is also wrong because it only describes part of the group. When "Hypa Hypa" made its international breakthrough, it became a problem in Canada. Promoters didn't want to let them perform because of the name, and other bands didn't want to perform together. They then changed the name to Electric. As a German, I can't really understand the argument. German is a foreign term like Eskimo, the French call me Allemane, even though I don't belong to this ethnic group within the Germans, like Inuit. The Poles and Slavs don't even have a proper name for me, they call Germans with an old word for foreigners. That doesn't really bother me. But I'm not an oppressed minority that can't decide its own fate. I don't have the feeling that I can't even decide my own name. I am in a better social situation than the indigenous people of North America and therefore deal with it more calmly. The style is officially metalcore, but the party atmosphere is unique and typical of Electric Callboy. Their concerts are more of a party than a concert. In the beginning they were criticized a lot for this, but today their success proves them right. ESC is a sad chapter. They actually applied nationally for the ESC, but were rejected. They would not be suitable for radio. The national pre-selection is regularly criticized because of such decisions. And because Germany very often ends up in last place. The national organize ralmost changes the rules every year and still doesn't learn anything. This was the song they applied with for the national selection: Electric Callboy - PUMP IT (OFFICIAL VIDEO) Later, a metal band made it because the rules changed again, but ended up in the lower places despite the ESC being friendly. They were rarely in last place in the rankings, but didn't get into the points either. In the end, they had almost no points and were ranked lower than they had been chosen. Somehow, success at the ESC is the exception for the Germans: Lord Of The Lost - Blood & Glitter (LIVE) | Germany 🇩🇪 | Grand Final | Eurovision 2023

you should try: Electric Callboy - Everytime We Touch (TEKKNO Version) OFFICIAL VIDEO
WGTM is from their TEKKNO Album.
spaceman, tekkno train, and hypa hypa.!! more my guy!
I enjoy your enjoyed confusion!
I believe that when they choose a song, "not having to host the next ESC" is one of the criteria.
I love them, they are just awesome!
Next one: Every time we touch!
Was waiting for it xD
Hey Dwayne, since you liked Gentleman in the beginner song ahnma you reacted to recently, check out „See dem coming“ or „Dem gone“. Both from his debut album from 2002.
Love your reactions, keep em coming ❤
i did backstage for eskimo callboy / electric callboy called now. i got heavy drunk with them and they taped the bassist and a table to a wall
Haha finally Electric Callboy on this channel! 🤘
They wanted to join ESC but the german officials didn't let them go to the national selection 🫣
You should check out more by them. Maybe "Hypa Hypa", "Pump it" or "Ratatata" feat Babymetal
We call that haircut here ingermany "pilzkopf"("mushroomhaed" ^^) or the more officiel name of it "topfschnitt"("pot cut")..^^
This was the song they applied with for the national selection:
Electric Callboy - PUMP IT (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Later, a metal band made it because the rules changed again, but ended up in the lower places despite the ESC being friendly. They were rarely in last place in the rankings, but didn't get into the points either. In the end, they had almost no points and were ranked lower than they had been chosen. Somehow, success at the ESC is the exception for the Germans:
Lord Of The Lost - Blood & Glitter (LIVE) | Germany 🇩🇪 | Grand Final | Eurovision 2023
Another suggestion: Kummer feat. Fred Rabe - Alles wird gut (der letzte Song)
It makes sense to read the lyrics afterwards. Pretty decent song.
If they joined eurovision, they would be DQ right at the start 😂😂
Finally. Now follow the rabbit hole
