    Thank you so much for sharing and for choosing our Mirka LEROS!
    You had a good question in the video, 4.15 ->
    As you concluded, you need to have the dust extractor on, especially in warm conditions. (And we're guessing Hawaii is pretty warm... :)
    Good luck with all your projects!

      Thanks great product. I have been dealing with a bit of static shock coming from the hose and cord when ever it touches my forearm while sanding. The hose is the mirka antistatic. Do you think getting a sleeve for the hose and cord would help?

      @@csdrywallhawaii It may be connected to the Dewalt machine seen in the video.
      Just in case, we could send you a sleeve to test? How may we contact you (email?)

      I was wondering about that my friend bought the combo but uses it more for painting I'll give him a call to ask if he has gotten a bit of static. Might have something to do with the humidity here 🤔. I'll look into swaping out the dewalt, the only reason I haven't is it still working good. Thank you for your feedback greatly appreciated 🙏. Since I been using it strictly with the vacum attached the mirka has been awesome hasn't turned off. Just uploaded a video sanding 10,000 sq ft alone in under 3 hours.

      @@csdrywallhawaii I have the sleeve that came with the full kit, and I do get static 4 to 5 times in an 8 hour working period. Doesn't bother me though. This was my first sander (I bought it after your review) - for piece workers it is a no brainer. Sanding 10 000 sq ft is a breeze !

    Great job on the vid. Can you show your wet sand technique on the feather from the old ceiling. Should a opened that vac up and showed how much dust it collects. I’m shocked when I open my vac up how heavy the bag is after sanding.

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  4 роки тому

      Thanks brother ya the vacuum didn't feel to heavy so I didn't even bother emptying it out.
      For the wet sanding I pretty much just give it a fast pass with a wet sponge 🧽. I'll show you in the next video. Aloha

    Nice video. I’m probably going to sell my festool setup and buy mirka. ( hopefully won’t have to fork out anything out of pocket lol) Mirka is so much better. Have you tried putting a festool or other type regular sandpaper not mesh on mirka without soft pad and remove popcorn with it? Seems like it could work. Just don’t see the point of keeping festool for removing popcorn and mirka for finish sand. Really want to use one sander for both. Also I could probably sell festool with vacuum and all accessories for more than Mirka Leros and mirka vacuum setup.

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  4 роки тому

      It can totally remove the popcorn but it won't be as fast. Since the mirka is a little more finesse on the finish. Yaeh if you can sell the whole system and switch over I think your going to be pleasantly surprised with the maneuverability of it compared to all the others.

    Have you tried using it to brush down a Level 5 finish? We cant with the rotating models because of the swirl marks it leaves. What are the scratch patterns with this new system? Great videos by the way!

      @@bobseguin2195 Thanks for the input! still trying to justify the $1100 though, the 360 sander heads do such a good job of finish sanding im not sure if the labor costs of finish sanding outweigh the price of the mirka

      Thankyou. I’ve owned the festool for over a year and have been going crazy with swirl marks. I knew I wasn’t the only one. I think I’m purchasing the mirka. It’s not beneficial to go over everything with a sponge because the festool is a POS

    Nice video, from what I understand, the tool slows down like that is a over heating issue, were you running it wide open? Mine did the same thing. I usually run it at 4 now, never heats up now. I sanded a house on Monday with 240 grit, super smooth, love this sander, never good g back to pole sander again. Page 9 & 15 of owners manual.

      @humusiclab8974 3 роки тому

      Is the over heating issue worsened by using incorrect grit paper at a high speed? I understand there is a 40 grit by Mirka just for popcorn ceilings, instead of running 80 grit with the power all the way up.
      Is there a list of recommended grits for knockdown after first coat, 2nd coat, level 5, etc?

    How well does it work to remove painted textured walls and popcorn ceilings?

    • @csdrywallhawaii
      @csdrywallhawaii  4 роки тому

      So far all the sanders that I have used haven't been able to knock down painted texture. I haven't used the mirka for popcorn but I feel like it would work just the festool would be a tad better since the suction holes are a little bigger so the popcorn chunks pass through a little easier.
