My Fav Utattemita version: www.nicovideo.j... (シャオ)
This most likely references The Berlin Wall this was before Attack on Titan please do your research of dates and popularity before you comment something that's probably not true
^^^^^^
oh my goshhh! If I can, I would give this comment a thousand likes!!
That does make sense. I thought it was connected to AOT at first, as well.
THIS IS ABOUT ATTACK ON TITAN
@@Xxpumpkinqueen13 No is not
@aile1zero
That was ironic lol
Vocaloid has so many songs that need to be full animes. This is one of the biggest.
I cant believe that 10 year has passed since this was uploaded (and is still my favorite kaito song)
13 years now, still my favorite lol
Why all are like "this reminds me of snk" when this P.V( and song) was created way before snk o-o. Maybe it's about Berlin Wall, but not snk.
Is it not allowed to remind people of snk?
For some reason I cry every time I listen to this song..
Kuro Yuki Its pretty sad, it makes me cry too
I do too, it's a freaking sad story
This is my first time listening to it and I'm crying too
This is so nostalgic this was the first Kaito song I ever heard
I have a weird thing for cute robot/android characters(such as Mega Man, Astro boy, ec.) and the little robotlike guy in this video was definitely something I took a moment to go "Awww" at.
Yoshikins Shard I agree- >u< Also I have the same thing with cute robot characters- xDD
I have the same thing. I was playing Portal 2 and melted when I saw Wheatley and this isn't helping me recover.
Yoshikins Shard Question: Have you seen the cartoon 'Robot Boy?'
The cUTEST ROBOT EVER JFC
Over the years, I've liked many vocaloid voicebanks better than V1 Kaito - however this song stuck with me as a parable about how no matter what things trap us away from the world, there is always a way of sending out that message that could tell someone "I'm here". We have history as technology and so many ways to help us in our darkest moments.
I actually first heard this song over a decade ago, when this translation was first uploaded. Artists and songs have come and gone; be it better or worse or more famous or less famous - but I do think this one shaped my awkward teen years more than I tend to give it credit for.
That Robot was so cute ^*^
this song remind me about the berlin wall
and i am the only one that remembers hybird child when he talk about the doll?
OMYGLOB I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE XD
OMG YES :D
Can this be more popular
*PLEASE*
11 years and i still cry here in 2021
Oh, that's an interesting interpretation.
The song writer says it's based on a far away future where there is no machines left (aside from Dad's secret stash).
But your version seems to fit too ^^
Still one of my favorite Kaito songs. I wish there were a manga or ova of this story
It makes me so happy to see all these comments talking about how special this song is to them!
I wonder where the person who uploaded this is now???
Also damn this song has a special place in my heart, i hope people still remember this song
Still one of my favorite songs to this day! A song this beautiful will always be remembered
@@axuwu6939 im glad, hope this song makes a come back, would kill in project diva
Isn't it ironic that Crypton said that Hatsune Miku and the other Vocaloids are supposed to be singing androids from the future where all music had been lost?
Omg I cannot believe that this song is now 10 years old 😲
One of my first Kaito songs I listened to ❤️
やばいぃぃいいい
だいすきだぁ
I always love Kaito.
To my mind, he's the best vocaloid forever. I love him since 4 years & no one of vocaloid took his place in my heart. I don't know why, but his voice makes me feel happy or sad and he's the only.
Coming back to this in 2020 is really hitting different...takes me back to before I got all depressed
And here I am, more than a year after my comment on this video.
I came across this song one year ago when I was quite new to Vocaloid and I was searching for Kaito songs because I really liked his voice.
This is one of the songs that made me the hardcore Kaito stan that I am, and I think that this might be one of my favourite Vocaloid songs of all time.
It has a beautiful melody, sure, but my favourite part are the lyrics. They're beautiful words put into music, words of hope, freedom, peace. In my old comment I stated that this song reminded me of Attack on titan, and it's kind of true, even though it's obvious that this song didn't take inspiration from it since back in 2009 AoT was barely starting. But now that I re-read the lyrics after this time, they remind me of the Berlin Wall too, and on a more general level, of war, which destroys people and divides families, but these people who are caught in these tragedies often light up a new light of hope.
This song hits hard and it isn't just "SO GOOD" like I mentioned in my old comment. In my opinion, this is a great masterpiece, a true hidden gem, since I've never noticed anyone in the fandom talking about it, and that's sad because songs like this that touch this deep themes should be more famous.
Also, can I also add that I'm in love with the PV? Especially the colors, I love the shade of blue they used.
Thank you hokorichan for translating this and a huge thanks to the producers who made this masterpiece of a song. Y'all deserve more spotlight
I really want this song to make it into the next project diva game, it's my favorite Kaito song 💙
i need a remaster of this so bad, please any kaito tuners do it, i literally love this song.
Even after all these years, this song still hits
Omg!!! Tht little robot was so cute!!!!!
I love the Kaito in this one, he's so good looking in a smart kind of way. Great video too. Thanks for uploading!
As soon as I heard this song and saw the video, it was an instant favorite. There's just something about it that seems powerful.
Plus, little robo-Kaito is so cute!
Kind of like the attack of Titians or WWII Berlin wall
Yea I agree with AoT. It kind of has the tone of the first opening if you think about it.
Makes me think of the Berlin Wall.
Well.. this really makes me think.
It's now also on my list of old Kaito songs that are deep and awesome because of it!
This song will always have a special place in my heart
wow! this is so well animated and drawn! I wouldn't be surprised if this was by the girl who drew love is war!
Why does this all reminds you of Shingeki? This is beautiful in comparison to Shingeki -.- This here reminds me of WWII, Berlin wall.
you're awesome, hokorichan. kaito is one of my favorite vocaloids by far.
Chat i think i just found my new fav kaito song
This song is the best of Kaito. It's beautiful
For some reason this always makes me cry.
:3 I love this song.
Happy Birthday KAITO.
Very pure and beautifull song for a great vocaloid
this song made me cry
When he looks down at the robo-Kaito at the wall, that's such a tender look, it's fricken sweet with the little robot, gyah.
Excellent from start to finish
I was going to write a comment about how this reminded me of AOT, then i read the comments.. -__-
Same here :/

Listening this again in 2018. The first time I listened to this song I became captivated to Vocaloid songs and Kaito, this song is very pretty ♡
It's so awesome one of the best vocaloid mv I've seen :3
^.^ Can't stop playing the song! I almost cried once… really love it and the robot is so adorable!!!!! XD
I love the strange and yet very real dystopia this song tells of. It has a touching message. Thank you for sharing.
GO LITTLE ROBO-KAITO! FIND THE LIFE OF THE ONE'S GIVING THE SOUND! FIND THEM AND BRING THEM TO THE WALL SO KAITO CAN BE UN-CAGED LIKE THE BIRD LONG AGO!!! *squeals* the robot is SO cute!
I found where AOT have gotten their inspiration from
This is very beautiful and and the art is beautiful too
this reminds me of the book "The Giver". very cool animation, I like it a lot.
I finally found you again :)
THIS IS SO GOOD MAN
Little kaito is sooo cuuuute
@pwned31904 When I hear this song it makes me think of the Berlin Wall,It was already down when I was born but my motehr told me stories about it.She and her paretns (who lived in west germany) were completely cut of the rest of her family (who lived in east germany)
This song is underrated, I'm glad I listened to it for the first time and the PV is beautiful!
I love this song so very much TT^TT
I hope that little Kaito robot comes back and take Kaito with him outside so that they can be together
that was beautiful
Oh wow, that was amazing °o°

Kaito kun
Small kaito :3 KAwaiII!!!!!!
I've been looking for this song forever
Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
This would have made a nice movie or short film. I can see how it would come together. Ashame that it wasn't made into one. Either way good song.
jeez i totally forgot about this song.... i missed it omfg
I definitely thought of the Berlin Wall while watching, I hope there's a follow up PV.
Also, I cried when it flew away. ;_;
im still shocked there was animations in this :O and that doll its so..cute..i just wanna steal it..i mean hug it ^.^
This was my first Kaito song. I still love it now.
I’m crying..... KAITO YOU’RE MY FAV NOW
I FREAKING WANT THAT DOLL!!!
If I were Kaito, I won't command my look-a-like doll to go somewhere!
I WANT THAT DOLL!!!
OR AT LEAST A REAL KAITO
lol!
=3
@hokorichan I didn't quite cry, but it felt a bit like it, really deep-down. It brought up my appreciation for living in a nation in which communicatory media technology is free to use. Though many things are censored, and many people are trying to expand the censorship to even more ridiculous levels than it's already at, media forms, such as radio, are still able to be used, and I thank God for that.
IamKagamineLenANDKasaneTed
Well, regardless, you were the only one to actually answer my question, so thank you. :)
....Why do Kaito's songs always give me chill :o?....Not a bad chilling feeling I suppose...But still...
Well! Go for it, Kaito
Last moment, I totally thought "Robot Boy" for a second. But.. ANYWAY~~ CUTE song. :D
and I am a boy who is a proud fan that just loves Kaito and everything about him
I like your theory of this song. Very interesting concept.
METAL STICK
This is more of a story than a song.
Kaito=awesomeness.
and i always thought this was a happy song. D:
I cannot believe I cried it just came all of a sudden . TT.TT
It's also painfully adorable, too. D8 LOOK AT IT'S EYES. THEY SCREAM "LOVE MEEE".
I understood the beginning then my tired brain took over and didn’t let me process any of the other words my eyes looked at
Plz someone explain the story so I know what I didn’t understand
Fangirling109 From Vocaloid Wiki:
This song tells the story of a young boy (KAITO), who lives in a post-war town surrounded by humongous walls. It is forbidden for people to go outside the wall, therefore he was always told to remain inside, and grew up alone. Years passed and the boy grew into an adult, and received word that the "father he didn't remember had died" as a result of the war. In his will, the boy was left a key that came with a mysterious message, which lead him to a "forbidden art". The art was in reference to music, which was forgotten by the walled city and he discovered it through a small, old radio. The radio was held in the arms of a humanoid doll that "wore the face of him as a child". The doll follows only the commands of its master, so the boy ordered his doll to "go where that voice grows stronger", in reference to the radio held in its arms. The doll "nodded and effortlessly flew over the wall". Every passing day, the man stays and waits for the morning the doll will return, in hopes its voice will reconnect with the world.
@pwned31904 It made me think of the Iron Curtain too. (It was in Germany, btw) But, yes, I agree with your interpretation of this song.
Strangely overpowering... I like it!
I love how Kaito ALWAYS has his scarf! :D
I think it IS the Berlin Wall. Look at the hints - the radio being forbidden, the uniforms... Even the wall itself.
Kaito sings beautifully in this one. it's very well written, and nicely composed.
I loves song and video
yes and no, the robot was added in the song for a snazzy adding, the true story is the beatles encouraged the people to overthrow the government and their ban, but yeah the old radio and the big wall is true.
Yay! :3
Wish someone would make an updated version of this with Kaito v4 or somethin ;o;
@Koratah I strangely didn't cry either..... Until I really REALLY thought deeply about the meaning of the story. xD Then I was bawling for who knows how long about how sad it was. hahahhaha.
Such a beauiful song ;A;
@Koratah I couldn't help but think that the guards would've shot Kaito after seeing him release the robot as it was "forbidden craft." So sad...
DUDE!
it made me start crying a little at the end!
BEAUTIFUL!!! :D
that doll. is the cutest fucking thing. i have ever seen.
