I remember going down there as a kid in the 70s, there was still a bed frame in the main room and the hatch was always unlocked. I also remember using the squash court in the old Silverburn flax mill. You bought a key for 50p from the council and played whenever you wanted, nobody seemed to know about it.
I grew up in Leven, as kids this was our playground. It looks a lot different now. The Nuclear observation post we used to knock the padlock off and climb down to explore. Crazy how they built an OP on an old coal bing!. Need to get back and have a look at the area.
Sorry I didn't go in, but I had my good/only trainers on and it looked like it required waders. It's still there though, so who knows it might dry out and be accessible although I doubt there will be anything worth exploring in this one. Stay tuned though. Working on finding another now I know what they are :)

Now the Bunker is used for the golf course irrigation system. That's why it's full of water guys
