I have this scale, paid 90 a few years ago so I keep persevering with it but certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone buys one. It won’t register on any WiFi so I have to use Guest mode and manually put my weight in an app; it’s v temperamental, you can get different results just a few minutes apart, it chews through batteries as it turns itself on at the slightest movement and then doesn’t turn off unless you pick it up. Fitbit have no interest in helping, their customer service is not atrocious, it’s non-existent.
Is that right? I think there is a few different models. The model number on this is FB201B. I bought this online from a reputable retail and I have a receipt for Fitbit Aria 2. do you have the Aria 2 and what's the main differences between them?
Rob, Thanks for this information it is much appreciated. It looks like the seller sent me the wrong scale. I have no intention of misleading viewers and I have now updated the title and description of the video. I really appreciate your input and apologize for the error.
Thanks for doing a more recent review of the original Aria. Lots of people paid premium money for this device when it originally came out and have been extremely disappointed with the longevity of support from Fitbit. Have you had the chance to compare this to the later versions? And if so, how would you rate the interface and support compared to this one?
Not sure. Ive seen the 2 different versions as well and Im not sure if this is a later version or an earlier one. I would think they would still function pretty much the same
The scale uses technology of the stone ages (802.11b) basically making it useless anyone keeping up with the Jones' because you will never complete the initial set up to use the scale. This scale was a nightmare and made me stay away from any scale Fitbit will ever release today or in the future. Their watches are fine. They should have just stuck with watches.
Yeah there is something seriously wrong with the UA-cam editor which is used to make small changes to a video after it is already uploaded. It keeps stuffing up the video. Out of sync audio is crap
Really good review in terms of your delivery style and content. Thank you.
Thanks for your video, I have not got this much info from others ! 😀

This is NOT the Aria 2 "It is the Aria" the first version, can tell by bottom!

@@BeforeYouBuyGuy My Aria model# is FB201A. uses 4 batteries w/humps on bottom. Amazon Aria 2 model# FB202BK. Has flat bottom & uses 3 batteries.

This must be a Euro version because the US version back is very different. Even the battery compartment.

This is the original version of the Aria, not the Aria 2. That’s probably the confusion.
Eufy is less expensive than aria
Which one is more accurate
About the same in my experience
What if you don't have wifi

Thanks for sharing your experience
Go to your router and change the default setting from 802.11g/n to 802.11-b,g,n
@@budbryant48 I don’t have that option it only allows me to change from 802.11 g,n to 802.11 n
All I really care about is how accurate the weight is.
This is Aria not Aria 2
Thanks for the information. I have updated the description so that it is not misleading.
You have to have very perfect genes to be alive weighing over 348 lb
I weight 346 pounds. 2 more proud s and I will be unalive.
got one from good will for 5$
You really need to learn how to make a video that has its audio in sync with the picture!

@@BeforeYouBuyGuy ahhh, I didn’t realise it was UA-cam. I retract my statement.
