      I’m looking for

I always find it funny because the WNBA does in fact have a 50% revenue sharing clause already. They never mention it because it's based on hitting a certain revenue target. Here in Peru women's volleyball is the second biggest sport. I like it more than men's volleyball, because men's volleybal is more power driven, the ball is just to fast and powerful it's difficult to stop it; on the other hand women's volleyball is all about aiming for a spot and the other team reading the hitter so they can control the ball and start the counter attack, so you have a game with longer rallies which make the game more entertaining. In my country, women are paid more than men to play volleyball.

I’ve watched sports all my life and these are the first times that I’ve been so disinterested in watching a lot of sports because of all the woke crap and agenda shoving that’s going on
I don’t see anything wrong if players want to be involved with any causes outside of the sport. But Jesus Christ don’t bring that into the arena. It’s nauseating.
Also the WNBA players I’m pretty sure are well aware of the business aspect of their league. But something tells me that they’re purposely forcing the pay issue with the the hopes that it will magically correct itself. But in the end the whole wage gap argument is just a front. What they really want is the luxury and celebrity status that lebron and curry have. They want to be invited to Leo DiCaprio’s b day party like lebron was and be hanging out with a list celebrities. That’s what they’re really after. It’s a self serving end and the pay inequality is just the means. It’s all fake and superficial

I think it’s dangerous to consider philosophies (and religions) as inherently good or bad (unless those philosophies are obviously harmful which feminism isn’t). I think it’s up to people how they use said philosophies to inform their life.
In this case, it feels as though entitled PEOPLE have used feminist philosophy to inform their entitlement. Which isn’t an inherent failure of feminism.

It certainly doesn't help the reality when someone silly like Griner thinks she's even close to a male Professional. Griner would quite literally be the worst center in the men's league at any point in NBA history due to her lack of athleticism, accuracy and speed. It's certainly a good thing we keep the 2 separate from each other cause if there was just one league then it would just be men playing.

A lot of the issues referenced here are widespread issues across sports as a whole. Women’s leagues are just the most blaringly obvious narrative pushers. The NBA has had a very public relationship with China for a long time, and I’d argue that geopolitical consideration is more important than anything in this video. The NFL has pushed league wide sanctions to increase diversity on coaching staffs, and taken aggressive stances on political issues both in America and overseas. The whole idea of “brand growth” and “agenda pushing” is something every professional athlete does, but is overshadowed by league success in men’s leagues.
While you made a good amount of very fair points, really take a second to peel back feminism and see the glaring issues that have been a thorn in ALL profesional sporting for decades.
Bill Burr did explain it the best, sports used to be an escape from the world we live in. And there’s nothing wrong with using your platform to raise awareness, just don’t make it your whole identity.

This is half-truths mixed with some weird need to put down women. Question: how many of you would prefer if Boxing and Wrestling were strictly limited to the heaviest weight classes? I'm guessing you appreciate the different skills and style that emerge from there being distinct weight and size classes in both sports, right?
When Serena Williams says she'd be easily defeated by the best men on the tour, she's right, of course. Does that mean men are better tennis players? Um, nope!! Just like there are high-school age heavyweight wrestlers and boxers who would destroy the world's top ranked lightweight champions, that doesn't make the smaller lighter athletes 'worse' at their sport. It's just a different kind of competition with its own virtues.
Women's tennis is its own sport, with different physical characteristics, but just as interesting, and the skill level is comparable because women have been pushing the sport forward since the 1950s (unlike basketball and soccer). Still, almost the same could be said for Women's International Soccer; the women's game has come a long way thanks to global interest, and is catching up with the men's game skill-wise. But keep in mind, half the world doesn't support women athletes, or even permit them in many cases (see Afghanistan), so it will take time.
However, the video is right about the WNBA: it's nowhere close to the skill level and excitement of the NBA game. But why is that? Is it because of politics? Not likely. The fact is that far FAR fewer women athletes are devoting their lives to basketball, globally, so the talent pool is very small Second, the game itself is built around HEIGHT (10 foot rim and all that), so it's fundamentally playing to the weaknesses of women (shorter and can't jump as high).
So why the hate? What need does this mocking condescension satisfy? How about supporting and promoting women's sports instead of tearing them down, so that eventually, as with Tennis, the skill and entertainment value of the athletes will be a nice alternative to the men's game -- just like flyweight boxing is to heavyweight.

    • @unluckygamer8821
      @unluckygamer8821 7 місяців тому

Men are better tennis players than women that’s a fact and not agreeing with that is just cope. Take tennis players of the same weight of other gender and we know who’s going to win. Also, to answer your last point about why to make a video like this. Because otherwise there would be no accountability. The WNBA have been lying for years. Complaining to the MEN and NBA for not donating, getting paid the same e.t.c and they are getting rightfully called out. What is so confusing about that 😂. Everything he said in the video is facts and y’all still complain. You think all these liars in the video shouldn’t be called out? For example the US women team saying they aren’t getting paid the same then getting embarrassed. They brainwashed so many people and then they get proved wrong and what you want everyone to just keep quiet about that. Be serious fr 😂😂😂.

Why am I not surprised in the slightest that this video took a transphobic approach almost immediately? Right-wingers need to get a life😂😂😂

@@theweeniewonker nah, I just can’t stand right-wingers using the trans argument for sports. It’s been proven as bullshit.
The one thing that annoys me the most is people like you who choose to make a personal attack, because you know you can’t contribute any real value to the conversation

I'm not going to claim to be an expert of transgender athletes, but wouldn't the numerous amount of records falling point to the fact it isn't just BS?
Especially when coupled with the following
The US government study led by Dr. Timothy Roberts of the University of Missouri found that trans women who underwent hormone therapy for one year continued to outperform non-transgender women, also known as cisgender women, though the gap largely closed after two years. But even then, trans women still ran 12% faster.
Even with hormone therapy, current research suggests trans women still maintain an edge in strength.
"Pretty much any way you slice it, trans women are going to have strength advantages even after hormone therapy. I just don't see that as anything else but factual," said Joanna Harper, a medical physicist at Britain's Loughborough University.
Tommy Lundberg, whose research at Sweden's Karolinska Institute focuses on skeletal muscle strength of trans people receiving hormone therapy, the advantages for trans women in strength are to the point where fairness cannot be ensured in most sports.
"The big problem right now is that the hormone therapy itself doesn't really remove the advantage to an extent that you can claim that fairness has been achieved, and actually, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) states that the overriding objective is, and remains, the guarantee of fair competition. That's what they say in their guidelines. So that's the problem right now. -Dr Lundberg
In another paper Lundberg co-researched that looked at untrained trans women, Lundberg and his colleague found that "muscular advantage enjoyed by transgender women is only minimally reduced when testosterone is suppressed.
Nobody's up in arms saying that trans men are going to dominate men's sports. Much of the advantage gained for a cisgender man occurs during puberty. Having gone through female puberty does not provide you with a baseline skeletal advantage over your average cis man.
I think the transgender issue is very important. But protecting the women's category in sport is also very important. They have fought long enough to have fair competition in sports
None of the above qupted experts support a blanket ban on trans athletes, which is in line with a recent study. But experts, like Lundberg, say the regulations should be determined on a sport-by-sport basis, especially when safety is a factor.
In my own opinion we don't have this easy fix or easy regulation that can be applied, you have to prioritize either inclusion or fairness. They don't go hand-in-hand right now. And in most sports, I their current states, it's going to be problematic to include transgender women and achieve fairness. That's what the current research suggests.
Hopefully as we get more research and medicine advances it can lead to improved policies that include both fairness and inclusiveness.

Because trans athletes competing against women is a hot current topic that many argue is undermining women's sports...?
