    Hi Sorin thanks for share your videos.. here in Italy the quarantine is soo boring.. see your videos make me happy.. you teach us many tricks about fix notebooks or always things about electronics but but in the meantime you talk about all things that happen in England and around the world.. here in Italy the situation is really serious, almost 15 days ago I only saw these things in China now I am seeing them here .. and I see the other Nations that are making the same mistake that we have made .. underestimating COVID-19

    Thanks for one more nice video! Just one question to ask... You removed a shorted cap from there and you didn't replace it with a new same value. How are you sure the circuit still don't have a problem that caused that failure and how do you know that the specific circuit will work e.g wifi card?

    I don't understand what kind of cooling that laptop has. CPU heatsink has no connection with the fan.

    • @jfz4759
      @jfz4759 4 роки тому +1

      me too, maybe someone knows. it cant be enough cooled by only the airflow along the heat pipe, or i must be wrong. When there is a egpu installed it will be even dissipating more heat.

    • @MrZm0geliS
      @MrZm0geliS 4 роки тому +2

      Facepalm indeed. Pure Asus engineers wasn't sure to make ryzen toaster or laptop so made all in one.

    • @jfz4759
      @jfz4759 4 роки тому

      Maybe at the bottom cover there is a kind of plastic wind tunnel that leads the air from the fan to the heat pipe construction and then to the outside with a 90 degrees turn. That would actually be very nice system, but it is a Shame they didn't put more fins at the heat pipe to cool it better the way I described. I'm actually beginning to like this system except for the missing fins.

    • @jfz4759
      @jfz4759 4 роки тому

      When you look at the board you see there is a kind of line leading from the top of the fan along the heat pipe and than a turn . only at the bottom that line is missing so it is possibly still not a 'closed system' what is less efficient I think.

    • @jfz4759
      @jfz4759 4 роки тому +1

      laptopmedia.com/highlights/inside-asus-vivobook-15-f512-x512-disassembly-and-upgrade-options/
      Cooling solution.
      In the cooling segment, we saw the actual innovation, if we may say. The laptop now has something like a heat spreader, that is placed (wait for it) on the place where the GPU would sit, should the laptop have one. In addition to that, there is a heat pipe that connects it to the CPU and a fan that blows towards it. Interestingly, the bottom panel is designed in such a way that it channels the air towards the heat spreader.
