Just happened to run into your videos. Great stuff and I was also intrigued because I’m a lifelong Southern Indiana resident. I live a half mile from the river. (Ohio River)
Hello There , always great to see a new SIS vid pop up . How's the truck driving going ?? . All the best for you and the family. The first cuts on log 6 could be carefully placed in the garden , have some eyes painted on and be called Wally G .
Who? Never heard of him! Just kidding. To each his own, but a little dishwasher fluid works just fine, and doesn't cost nearly what diesel does. I get mine at the dollar store.
Thanks for keeping up! I passed my CDL sate exam on the first try, and I have been working for a company driving for the last 2 weeks. So far, so good, but the sawmill stays for now! Driving is easy money compared to sawmilling, I can't believe how many drivers complain about any physical labor, haha!
logrite.com/Category/Standard-Series-Cant-Hook I have used mine for over 6 years and have not been able to break it! I also have an older video reviewing their log arch here: ua-cam.com/video/Ml6YpoaJoxE/v-deo.html

I've been driving for a company a couple weeks now. I've worked a lot harder and made a lot less! Home every night also. Still going to try and keep up with the sawmill though.
Where are you in Indiana? I'm in Louisville ky for work, but my dad had a mill while I was growing up and I have one ordered now that I've had a year wait on.
I feel like I need to lower the quality of the video if you can see that. The simple answer is because the debarker probably could use a slight adjustment.
Great question. You should always be concerned about dust when sawing. Since the logs are "green" (containing lots of water in the wood fiber) most of the removed material is shavings, not actual dust. This makes the shavings heavy, and they fall to the ground through the dust chute. If the wood is very dry, or it is a windy day, I will sometimes wear appropriate gear to keep from breathing in bad stuff.
hey you might want to team up with a family on youtbe called==Outdoors with the morgans..they also run a sawmill and think you both may make a great team. God bless. PS==would love to see your subs go up as you work hard and have great Christian values.
That's an interesting comment... I heard it enough while actually sawing, haha! Most people (I think) appreciate that I don't blast the sound of the machine on my videos.
Good to see you back on the sawmill again. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

I missed you Preacher good job
Fido is great production foreman, always dashing around to make sure things are ship-shape!
He keeps a tight ship around here for sure!

That looks like a full day's work. Great job and great videos.
Nathans of Out of the Woods uses diesel i believe to keep the resin clear

Amein Brother
tbh I like your mill/channel because it does not have all the fancy new bells and whistles
I'm a simple man, and I'm not trying to show off to the world. I've got nothing to prove to anyone. I'm glad you see that.
What blade do you like to use? Another great video. God bless.
Good vid and well said. Have you started driving yet?
Cheers,
Lee

That sure is some beautiful lumber. By the way, how is it coming with the CDL’s? Stay safe and GOD BLESS you and your family.

A question please, is there a reason the blade seems to cut the top of the slot the bark-remover makes?

I saw your video on the 3K sawmills in 2020. What would you recommend now in 2022 for around the same price range?
When you are sawing for hours do you have to worry about inhaling dust?

What size is your mill
Here is a link to the type of sawmill I own. All the specs are towards the bottom of the page. woodmizer.com/us/LT40-Hydraulic-Portable-Sawmill
