Would you say the Logitech g Pro x is better. I am choosing between the 2. It seems like most people like the Logitech and it has its own software making it more customizable
@DetroitFury when you did the mic test did you use it with the sound card or with 3.5mm headphone jack? Also did you use it on pc or ps4 or Xbox Because I’ve Heard the mic test in other videos and it sount a bit better in other videos on UA-cam. I’m not saying your equipment sucks or anything just throwing that out there I don’t want you to think I’m hating on you or anything. I was just asking because I wanted to get the alpha s.
just got this Alpha S on sale (cheaper than Alpha version). There have been some posts concerning audio quality, and that Alpha has better sound than Alpha S. Haven't tried the Alpha, but the S have really good audio quality, maybe could have a touch more bass response in the bottom (and with that i dont mean more bass, it's actually okay balanced for bass imo). My comparison is an ATH M50 headphone i have used for a long time, and i will say Alpha S have some advantages too my old ATH M50. 1. Much better comfort. 2. Way better wide soundstage. 3. Better clarity in vocals. (maybe a little too boosted in the mids). The ATH M50 wins with, 1. BASS, although maybe a tad to much bass. 2. isolation. Alpha S doesn't isolate all that well, with the bass port open (it should always be on medium setting). 3. Feels more intimate (but that's also maybe what takes away from the wider soundstage i guess) Other than that ATH M50 and Alpha S is off course 2 very different headphones, and with different sound profiles. I was actually surprised by the music quality of the Alpha S.

He talks about the astro a40 TR as if they are some amazing headset. I literally just bought the cloud alpha s after having an a40 tr for about 3 years and using it religiously. There is nothing amazing about astros and I will never get another pair. Plus they’re heavy as hell. So far the cloud alpha s has been really really nice and super comfy.
Hey guys. ^^ I wonder, Which one would you guys pick from these: - HyperX Alpha S - Steelseries Arctis 3 (3 because its the same as 5 just without rgb and I dont want bluetooth from the 7 :D) - Razer Kraken Tournament Edition (Or normal) - "If you have other entries please be sure to tell me about them." Rule: "Just the ones you personally know are good by the way. ^^" If you were to choose the best for Sound Quality and Longevity. Comfort is also important but should not come while cutting in the 2 main points. Looks are trivial as long as the 3 others are good. ^^ PS: I hate boomy Headsets with extreme Bass. I like it balanced without exploding my brain into gelatin. xD I hope if enough people answer, this will not only help me but also people who walk through this nice channel. :D

@@jaqueyankee22 I ended up with the HyperX Alpha S and the Steelseries Arctis 5 (same as 3 in every aspect) The Steelseries has better "clear" sound and the Alpha S has more "boom" to it and pretty good sound. As of build quality, the Alpha S is a bit more Sturdy feeling. They are both very capable headsets.

Great review! I've got a question: how loud is this headset when compared to others? I'm asking because I had a bad experience with one particular headset (Logi G35) when they switched to Logitech Gaming Software, the sound got normalised and the headset's max volume got reduced by around 25%.
I have had the cloud 2 for 4+ years now it’s great. The mic on the Alpha S is worse when using the usb soundcard, according to other reviews . The regular Alpha is probably best, since I don’t think the soundcard is worth it. I’m having a hard deciding upgrading to the Alpha from my cloud II
I've had the first version of the Cloud Alpha since late 2017, I'm gonna be honest and say that the S is not worth it. The mic is not really better at all, my original Alpha's have a better mic with a cheap usb soundcard that cost me less than 10 bucks. Surround sound is really not anything special, everyone I know that has it as a feature doesn't use it. If you find this on a nice discount, then yeah, it's a better steal. But for the original price I would advise against it.
In my opinion the extra pair of earcups does allow you to hear both your voice and outside noise much much clearer and easier. The leatherette is best for noise suppression.

Hyperx Cloud Alpha is still regarded as the better stereo headset by all people. Try it yourself. You'll hear the difference. It still has better reviews. He didn't mention that

Because Ive had the alpha s's since like November but hate the chord honestly so I decided to buy the could 2 wireless and putting them on i immediately could tell the alphas were extremely more comfortable. After gaming for like 4 hours on the cloud 2's my ears start to hurt. Microphone quality according to my buddies sound about the same but the alphas came in just a tad more louder and clearer. yeah those bass sliders BARELY make a difference in regards for bass when it comes to my headphones. Honestly i'm kind of disappointed because that was my main appeal to these.
out of these, the razer blackshark v2, the blackshark v2x, and the logitech g pro x, what pair has the best sound and the best mic, and is the most comfortable?
can these be connected to the ps4 via usb? if so do they sound any better? I've read that the ps4 controller doesn't provide enough power to output loud volume for headsets especially for this one which has 65 ohms.
Currently the pricing for arctis 7 way more expensive by a huge margin compare to these 2 brands from where im from. That's why i had to choose between 2 as the pricing are quite similar. Thx

i just bought this like 2 weeks ago. i go in discord a lot and sometimes i just couldnt hear anyone from the channel even tho their profile shows that theyre are talking, i had press the chat button or restart the discord. but when i press the chat button, it seems like it changes the sound..
Try recording yourself in obs to see what it sounds like....adjust the pc settings for the headset if you need to....then lastly adjust after all that adjust the discord volume settinfs

Ik it might be irrelevant but I did upgrade from a cloud 2 and ended up returning it because it kind of felt worse in some aspects. The mic is good but low volume. Audio is a bit clearer but lacks energy/ volume. Bass is good but nothing crazy, and over all I didn't consider it pleasing upgrade. Imo stay with the alpha, it will serve u better
Nope. The regular mixer's sound is no good. The 7.1 option doesn't sound good at all plus you have to adjust the headset volume in the system instead of on the cord. Regular Alpha is better

Arctis 7 is cheaper but I love the Corsair’s design and comfort

yeah those bass sliders BARELY make a difference in regards for bass when it comes to my headphones. Honestly i'm kind of disappointed because that was my main appeal to these.

can these be connected to the ps4 via usb? if so do they sound any better? I've read that the ps4 controller doesn't provide enough power to output loud volume for headsets especially for this one which has 65 ohms.

I don’t think the difference is worth the $50 to be honest.....but you can try it and see, if you don’t like them return them and swap em out🤷🏻♂️

Guys please help, i had cloud2 for few years, super nice headset but i broke, then i bought DT770 pro and i got so big headaches/migranes from them as they are pressing to my jaw bone or something, do you think Alpha S is as comfortable as cloud2 or any futher experience you guys have with it?

i just bought this like 2 weeks ago. i go in discord a lot and sometimes i just couldnt hear anyone from the channel even tho their profile shows that theyre are talking, i had press the chat button or restart the discord. but when i press the chat button, it seems like it changes the sound..
Try recording yourself in obs to see what it sounds like....adjust the pc settings for the headset if you need to....then lastly adjust after all that adjust the discord volume settinfs
This has nothing to do with your headset its a common discord bug simply leave the voice channel and rejoin!

There are a few workarounds you can find UA-cam not to mention it’s also 3.5mm which you can use as another way to connect

I got the alpha s and i was very disappointed, i wanted an upgrade from my thermaltake level 10m and i didnt notice any major difference at the sound section, maybe the hyprex have a little more bass but i just wanted more, which headset with a great quality and a noticeable bass do you recommande?

Ik it might be irrelevant but I did upgrade from a cloud 2 and ended up returning it because it kind of felt worse in some aspects. The mic is good but low volume. Audio is a bit clearer but lacks energy/ volume. Bass is good but nothing crazy, and over all I didn't consider it pleasing upgrade. Imo stay with the alpha, it will serve u better

Nope. The regular mixer's sound is no good. The 7.1 option doesn't sound good at all plus you have to adjust the headset volume in the system instead of on the cord. Regular Alpha is better
