Great guys..down to earth perhaps if they had added a keyboarder and another guitarist they'd have been a supergroup..they were a super Group...Went to school in Llanishen Cardiff..the Shelleys lived there..early 70's his brother..Peter, must have been a lot younger than J Burke..later around '77 they played to about 100 people in a concert just north of Hannover, Germany..we Welsh tank soldiers, and a few cardiffians went up to see them.. There's a light, covers up my doorway
Flickering light, never run away
And I might, I might be going your way
Say who might, might help me on my way
Mmm, what a sight, sight to burn the ego
Keep you warm and never let go
And the light coming my way
Compared to what others have seen
Napoleon the strong, he once had it
As a sound that was loud in his dream
And I stand locked before the four ways
Wind and snow, Heaven and I
I belong wherever men like that stay
I can feel it burning in my eyes
And the light coming my way
Compared to what others have seen
But Napoleon the strong, he once had it
As a sound that was loud in his dream
Heavens child, it's driving me wild
Honey, I know that it's right
Well, I got this message that makes me feel good
Carries me out through the night
Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me
Well, I move through life like a hurricane lamp
Lighting the road as I go
Spreading this music, injecting the light
Please let it stay, never go
Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me
And I think of Napoleon and others before
Parallels seem to exist
And I follow it, follow it, keep it in sight
Napoleon would never have missed
Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me

Good times...
And the girls, man the girls and the nutty stuff you could get them to do when you when ya had em groovin to these sounds.
Budgie, because we ain't gonna listen to the radio tonight.
Bought this album based on the cool cover as a 14 year old back when it came out in the UK, just love it!!! Love the great guitar, every about it is fantastic.
RIP BURKE:)
After 50 years after i first heard them i gotta say they are on par with most top UK bands. Very saddened to know that Burke Shelly is no more with us. RIP Burke.
This is freaking awesome!!! My ears have reached ecstasy listening to this band!!!
Wow! First time hearing this. Great band! Great album!
If there's such a place, hopefully Burke is playing with all the greats that passed before him.
🙏🙏☮️😭
Budgie and I have one thing in common...We are both from Penarth in South Wales... Been a huge fan since mid-seventies when they used to practice in a small hall at the bottom of my street
They were never promoted properly where I live (in the states) and it makes me mad. I've recently gone through their library and it's amazing.
QEPD uno de los más grandes 🙏☀️
Super Legends!!! GREAT!!! Love!!! Thank You!!!
Budgie led, others followed.!!!
A truly great album from this wonderful Welsh band ..
I knew a dude who liked Budgie in the early 70's, but I admit this is the first time hearing their stuff, and I like it ))
Their library spans over 40 years

Amazing Kickass Album!!
Thanks again 💞 . Thought I would only hear again if I bought...miss my older brother and the music.
11 years old when I got hold of this. Great big musical journey in between. Now off to listen to Singring and the glass guitar!
Just heard bout it this morning and it saddens me to heard about him.
Budgie kicked Ass and Burke was one reason why they did .
His voice made budgie along with his ripping bass strings just flowed at the right time and ripped harder at there heavy tunes.
In other words they were awesome ❗ My respect to the man Rip brother and may u be slapping that bass somewhere happy and free of pain🍻

Docilidade maravilhoso eu amo todos álbum dá band
Have considered Trapeze´s "You are the music...we´re just the band" as by far the ultimate funky-influenced hard rock album. Until I listened to this masterpiece for a first time :-)
Сильный альбом. Не уступали монстрам хард рока..deep....led...black Sabbath.. Nazareth....
A mi gusto puéden ser hasta superiores...
RIP Burke
This was the first lp I ever purchased as a 16 year listening to it now brings back such good memories.. they kind of have a rush vibe.. no wonder rush was one of my all time favorite bands.

"Who Do You Want For Your Love?..... Oh yeah... good song...
I have to admit ,I really didnt know much about this band till the late seventies. This one of these bands that kinda sneaks up on you.I can GUARANTEE you this is very very UNDERRATED!! Every album is Awesome!!! Dont take my word for it, just listen yourself.,I am,and its 2021!!
I saw them live about ten years ago and in my top ten live gigs (out of hundreds) Burke Shelley is a great front man for hard rock.
Love Pete Shelley's "Mmmm"...at the end of Napoleon Bonaparte...
