- Emmanuel Lewis, child star of the 80s sitcom Webster, sits down with Dee Brown to talk about his early childhood in the Brooklyn projects, being “discovered” and his career in advertising, TV, movies and music. With the confidence and humor of a show business veteran, Emmanuel recounts the challenges, sacrifices and satisfaction of super-stardom.
That's wild, man. Emmanuel keeps referring to his career movement with "us". He must really respect his team.
I'm happy to see he's doing great
I'm watching Webster right now, my childhood memories, as I was born in 1975, and I just googled him to see where he was now, and was happy to see this video pop up. Thank you ❤
Very intelligent speaking and seems like a very nice guy. I'm happy for him. I can listen to him talk for hours.
I’m glad to see him doing well. He seems to be thriving. He has had some very interesting life experiences. He’s had he opportunity to meet many celebrities and do many things. It seems that he has also survived being a “child star” , which is amazing achievement in itself.
AWESOME!! glad to see he's doing great. hope to see more of him on podcasts..
How amazing, he is so down to earth, you can’t help but to love him ❤! Beautiful spirit ✨
Tremendous respect for Emmanuel
Mr. Lewis's laugh is so pure, you realize this is some old dude enough to be somebody's grandpa. Mad RESPECT for turning down offers to play urban gang member, Lord knows it was hard turning them down those days. Pure love.
Deep . "We don't get too many chances to mess up"......deep that was understood
really deep
Hey! Its Webster Padapopularius, great show from my childhood.
So glad to see he's doing well. I am the same age as him and we both liked the same 80s shows he named off on his Johnny Carson apearance and I was like "wow we grew up in great times...love boat, fantasy island..." lol, I would stay up late against my parents will and watch the same stuff. What a nice dude. I hope all stays blessed for him and his.
It’s good to see Emmanuel Lewis doing well. Still has a child face.

Same here. My first time to see him in years. 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿✌🏽✌🏽
Short ppl wth many types of disorders : explains why he kinda has a kid face but older.
What a Talent! So Professional. Great Personality! Good to see you still thriving Mr. Lewis 🖤💚!
Still love this guy! We need more of him!!
Hello🤗🤗... Mr. Emmanuel Lewis how are you doing? I watch some short video of you when you were kid you are really amazing 👍🤩and funny 😅❤Love from Indian 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Loved the interview. Emmanuel's joy. Knowledge, and insight is amazing. Thank you!
I've always felt bad for Emmanuel Lewis. He's well into his 50s now, but imagine being in your 20s & no woman wants to engage in sexual activity because you LITERALLY look like you're 10. Somehow Emannuel kept it together. RESPECT.
This man is 51?! He looks 30 at best! Wowwowowow! 😮
No he looks like a kid
He has a condition
@@celmaferrao6491 he has no known condition of any kind.
He was 18 when Webster ended.
OMG, his laugh alone makes me laugh! What a great guy!
wow, can you believe he is 52 yrs old? 😀😀😀
I never liked "Webster" the show but I always liked Emmanuel Lewis is as a person and performer.
He's spittin' truth here tho.
Great interview! Thanks 😊
LOVE HIM!
Awesome Work! 😊
Still looks good youthful
❤
That's how to do it!
I can't believe it. he looks no older than 20 years old.
Oh he had better swag when he was a kid🥰
Mr Dee Brown pls, are a Ghanaian?pls I need an answer now
Emmanuel Lewis has no medical condition whatsoever. He was simply small for his age. People need to stop spreading ridiculous claims.
Wow I always thought he did. And if he did he probably would not have lived that life g. But I think it’s something maybe not so serious because his voice is still premature and he is in his early 50s
Height: 4’3”
Laugh: infinite
I bet he still gets carded when he buys booze
Am I the only one who thought he passed away? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he didn’t.
Sometimes folks confuse him and Gary Coleman (Arnold on “Diff’rent Strokes”). Sadly Gary passed quite a few years ago. 😔🕊️
Interviewer jist allowed him to talk. ....

The last was okay when he was a little child but as a grown man it makes you look like he's crazy
He the one that was hanging around Michael Jackson?
One aspect of the many hundreds of aspects of this man. He's a legend in his own right beyond Michael.
He looks like 20 😷
Still looks like a child. Wtf lol.
I remember seeing Emmanuel Lewis in Webster when I was in my childhood, and I would have believed he was actually just a little five year old boy like he was when the series began. On March 9 1997, just two weeks before my eighteenth birthday, I read in a local Missoula Montana newspaper called "The Missoulian" that Emmanuel Lewis was 26 years old. I couldn't believe it! It was a major puzzlement to me how that little boy I remembered as "Webster" could actually have been that old! I discovered more recently that he was born with a form of dwarfism called "Achondroplasia". That's why he was unusually tiny and looked like he could have passed for a five year old. I guess now he's 4'3" in height and obviously he is extremely portly. He still has a very youthful appearance on his face though! I am glad he's doing well at the age of 52.

He doesn’t have achondroplasia. He has no known syndrome. He’s 100% healthy. Just short.
@@shellywhelan1988 Oh. Okay, it's just that I read somewhere online that he does have achondroplasia. It's odd that he is naturally short and youthful looking.
~Dutch
@@lustforkicks7392 it's true that he has no known condition.
What’s portly?
@@pp9678It's another word for "fat".
~Dutch
Dude looks like one of the Muppets in the balcony 👴
WOW!
I love his laughter, so contagious
❤
Loved growing up with Webster. We are the same age and I fricking loved him. I love this biography interview.
what a laugh. The laugh is just pure, infectious.
Wow I remember watching “Webster” !👍🏾 Awesome energy guys great episode. 👏🏾
He's still adorable aw
Excellent interview 👏
I'm sooooooooo surprised he hasn't got heaps of kids! He would make the best looking kids in the world!😍😍😍 I'm keen... But I live in Australia!💔😭
That's my boy! Living legend!
Came in here because Webster just came on and I was wondering how Emmanuel Lewis was doing. Glad to see he is doing well.❤🙏
Great to see a child star doing good. Too many times they fizzle out and fade away.
Pratt institute in Clinton Hill in brooklyn new york he's a ps 256 alumni
Id love to see him doing more in front of the camera!❤
"Because I'm an ABC-U Grad". Lol werk that Network cred boy! He's hilarious. How can you not love this funny, down to earth, humble and hard working guy.
He said HBCU grad
Has been a celebrity all his lofe
I'm glad to see him doing well. I never watched the show he was in, having never really been a big fan of sitcoms - or at least ones from that era, but I do recognize him. Again, glad he's happy and doing well.
It was interesting to hear about his experiences as a child star and about attending an HBCU. He gave a perfect description of the HBCU experience. Family vibes throughout! He made sure that his brother and sister were able to go to college too.
Love how this shows always say they need no introduction then proceed to "introduce" them
Manny Mo is looking Buff.
Does he just says broken accent 😅
Brooklyn
Should have asked him when he Jackson was up his rear end to boost his so called career. Does not matter what he says, we all know the truth.
are you serious? how do you know?
@@hereandnow8578 Its obvious is it not.
@@Bone74838 yes you are right. i can see MJ was grooming young boys like Mcauly Culkin and others. i hope these child celebrities can finally get some rest
