For some reason in this song Aaron's vocals always stuck with me more. I like how it transitions from heavy to melodic then from clean vocals to screaming.
I think this song, When Sun Still Sleeps & Alone in december talk about the same, the same feelings, the same situation, the same depressive ambient... But most important, dedicated to someone that had to say goodbye from our lives :(
it's funny i heard of underoath before but i never really listened to there music, but after listening to this and a bunch of other songs i feel like ive been missing out on a really good band
i think its amazing that you mention that. I've been listening to Saetia for years but slept on Underoath for a long time because the internet told me they weren't "real emo" and holy moly the old stuff is good. But yeah, going off your point, Dallas Taylor's clean vocals (spoken word) sounds like a Billy Werner impersonation and I love it. I thought I was the only one who thought this album sounds a lot like Saetia overall.
Lost in the Sound of Seperation is by Far, In My Opinion, their best Album... Your entitled to your opinion, but I don't see how you can Say that LISOS isn't that good, the lyrics are amazing, the music is so Melodical, and Aaron PWNS on that Album... LISOS FTW!!!
i agree there was even an interview some one got to do with dallas about how it doesnt matter who sends the message i forgot exactly what he said but no one should care about who is in the band now or then...just listen and love the music
They should have showed some little sympathy..and its not bad either to make a good song about someone real special to you,if im not mistaken..its the song "When the sun sleeps " right?. Yah and spencer changed how underoath was..there is a thin line from being an epic band, and a no more band.. Im not saying that i dont like the new underoath ..but i just dig more the old underoath..
Bacon and cheese has been stuffed into a crust Gotta say, i saw your comment about Devil Sold His Soul. Went and checked them out. Sooooo good yet underrated. Thanks.
Bacon and cheese has been stuffed into a crust Well i just discovered them today so i dont really know. Frozen, Hope, Time, Tides, Sinking; those are about the only ones ive heard so far. Pretty fantastic stuff.
Yah,.like a country music that got screwed..underoath with dallas is better..i dont dig the new underoath since spencer came..it sounds weak to my ears,
no doubt man underoath is soooooo good. I saw them at the wonderland ball room like 7 years ago with living sacrifice and they rocked the shit...dallas will be forever missed
The thing is, OU (according to Dallas) was more, I dunno.. more metal?Hardcore? OU (according to Spencer -- not including TOCS) is more melodic semi-heavy. Dallas and Spencer screams are so different. If you can't stand one style, you're obviously going to like one more than the other. It depends when you heard about the band. If youre a fan since the Dallas days, odds are you'll like old OU better. If you havent known them as long, the change in vocals isn't going to bother you as much.
@Kevinlilg We're just lucky to see the band keep continuing, even if they change the sound. There're some bands that i wish would continue, even if they suck
I guess during Dallas Taylor era, they didn't use much of Aaron's sweet vocals, when you add that + Spencer's more what I think of as really dynamic screams, you got a much better band.
WOOAAAHHHH Love that angst on the scream really feeling it and lyrics just harmonize together with singing just seemly just right. great passion for making it
i love dallas taylorz screaming on the changing of times such a good no best UO record ever if u want it watered down a bit and a bit more southern check out his other band maylene and the sons of diaster p00per sc00per the screams R what MAKES this record and da funky keyboards and ketchy drums lol
I cannot stand this screaming... sorry.. But this is terrible. The music is awesome though, its nice, but when he opened his mouth, I honestly get a headache, and my teeth start hurting.
For some reason in this song Aaron's vocals always stuck with me more. I like how it transitions from heavy to melodic then from clean vocals to screaming.
I wish there was a live video of this song. Dallas is my favorite. I love the vocals. Great fucking line up and extremely heartfelt music.
I think this song, When Sun Still Sleeps & Alone in december talk about the same, the same feelings, the same situation, the same depressive ambient... But most important, dedicated to someone that had to say goodbye from our lives :(
And in an instant, in my mind, I'm sitting in my room in high school, damn.
i love the lyrics in all the songs in this album. there all amazing
best album ever. Period. No Comp. Dallas > Spencer. End of story.
Hell yeah man I still rock this shit all these years later.
REAL SCREAMO
I love Aaron's little interlude in the background at the beginning of the song, it sounds amazing!!!
it's funny i heard of underoath before but i never really listened to there music, but after listening to this and a bunch of other songs i feel like ive been missing out on a really good band

A little but early underoath always reminded me of Devil Sold His Soul. Check them out if you haven't heard them.

Lost in the Sound of Seperation is by Far, In My Opinion, their best Album... Your entitled to your opinion, but I don't see how you can Say that LISOS isn't that good, the lyrics are amazing, the music is so Melodical, and Aaron PWNS on that Album...

Yah and spencer changed how underoath was..there is a thin line from being an epic band, and a no more band..
Im not saying that i dont like the new underoath ..but i just dig more the old underoath..
Sounds just like the first vocalist from Devil Sold His Soul.
Bacon and cheese has been stuffed into a crust
Gotta say, i saw your comment about Devil Sold His Soul. Went and checked them out. Sooooo good yet underrated.
Thanks.
aaron aplin yeah they are pretty good. Which album did you listen to?
Bacon and cheese has been stuffed into a crust
Well i just discovered them today so i dont really know. Frozen, Hope, Time, Tides, Sinking; those are about the only ones ive heard so far.
Pretty fantastic stuff.
Yah,.like a country music that got screwed..underoath with dallas is better..i dont dig the new underoath since spencer came..it sounds weak to my ears,
Nothing like how it sounded without Lyrics
Who the fuck are you to judge whats the real underoath and whats not? Also amazing song
@destroycanada i think he means stuff like lost in the sound of separation and whatevers about to come out as new stuff.
I dreamt of you and me for years. But I still only have this cold winter morning. It's time to say goodbye.
@XxprocelianheartxX the album that just came out is really good from the few songs i've heard. check it out
@XxprocelianheartxX ye, appropriately named then isnt it
lol you listen to some of the most generic bands ever
underoath in 10days :DD
no doubt man underoath is soooooo good. I saw them at the wonderland ball room like 7 years ago with living sacrifice and they rocked the shit...dallas will be forever missed
@XxprocelianheartxX !00% agree with you.
The thing is, OU (according to Dallas) was more, I dunno.. more metal?Hardcore? OU (according to Spencer -- not including TOCS) is more melodic semi-heavy.

it really isnt i expected more
@yacupyavez Haha yeah I agree with you, I used to listen to Underoath while I was skiiing so they've always reminded me of winter.
@Kevinlilg We're just lucky to see the band keep continuing, even if they change the sound. There're some bands that i wish would continue, even if they suck
Underoath is sooo good
I first got into underoath in 04, old underoath is good, define the great line is epic! then new shit, is decent, i prefer the old albums like!
I guess during Dallas Taylor era, they didn't use much of Aaron's sweet vocals, when you add that + Spencer's more what I think of as really dynamic screams, you got a much better band.
I like the more raw sound that they had on the first few albums but too each his own.
WOOAAAHHHH Love that angst on the scream really feeling it and lyrics just harmonize together with singing just seemly just right. great passion for making it
God this song is so god
I'm so confused
very nice underoath playlist i wish these's guys would have kept goin but everything has to end sum time or another ...
@yacupyavez I'm so trying that if it snows
@goldenxterrorxking ura bit late to the convo but i like ur attitude.. haha.
I think that some people from this album are still in the band.
new underoath....old underoath who cares XD UNDERØATH FTW!!!
@XxprocelianheartxX eh, it was worth a shot.
@henrydolly777

@destroycanada old UO = dallas
i love dallas taylorz screaming on the changing of times such a good no best UO record ever if u want it watered down a bit and a bit more southern check out his other band maylene and the sons of diaster p00per sc00per the screams R what MAKES this record and da funky keyboards and ketchy drums lol
As epic as Dallas Taylor was, his screaming was nowhere near as versatile as Spencer's was for their albums Define the Great Line and beyond.
Eric Chambers Yeah pretty much. His screaming is so bland and sloppy.
oh man, i forgot how much i loved classic underoath
I cannot stand this screaming... sorry.. But this is terrible. The music is awesome though, its nice, but when he opened his mouth, I honestly get a headache, and my teeth start hurting.
