Was able to come back and enjoy the second half of this video now that I've finished the novel. It's a really good summary of the opening shots of the Clan Invasion. Good to see something new from you.
"Aint nobody got time for that, but some do" Never have I felt more called out lol Amazing video still, looking forward to part 2, even if ill probably get detention as I have to work during premier time lol
Discovered this today as I was leaving work. I have now one less hour to shower and sleep before my next shift, but it was well worth it! Excellent narration, easy to understand and great pacing. Looking forward to the rest of the series (right after I finish out chapter 4).
Unlike many game systems, Battltech/Mechwarrior is heavily tied to the novels that set the flavor, the spirit, the settings, and help so many to become immersed in the grander tapestry that is the genre. I have found that their are five basic means to share such things in videos. Comments that are short, often opinion driven and sometimes incomprehensible. Brief, usually only a few minuets long intros into a novel or series of novels that cannot hope to convey their value, entertainment or otherwise. Mid-sized reviews, mostly opinion pieces, on said novels, and in-depth discoveries such as videos created by talented folks willing to devote the effort and time to them, such as this video, and finally, full-on audio books. Of which, sadly, there are not as many of them as I'd like, or at least, very many available to us poor folks to listen to for free. Having made many efforts at most of these, I can apricate the work and effort, and the display of both love of the lore and the games, that it takes to embark on projects. Kudos, sir. Kudos. These sort of things are both informative and entertaining. Giving people new to Battletech a deeper glimpse into important events and eras of the game and allowing those of us who rode along, fought within, and cussed out on occasion, those very eras. (What Inner Sphere champion hasn't a AC load of curses aimed at Clanners...) I look forward to seeing more.
TAKE THIS LIKE AND SUBSCRIBTION SIR It was hard not just finding good videos on the clan invasion, but someone who takes it and gives a detailed breakdown.
Sir, what weather mods are you running on this gameplay video? Just reinstalled MW5 and it seams to have been a mod apolypse since most mods dont work anymore with the new versions of the game... Those weather effects look great and realy do obscure your vision... The predator vision is from Just Another Mechlab right?
I don't see how. Aliens are always alien looking, even with more humanoid aliens. See Mass Effect and Star Wars for example. Is it possible to have aliens look exactly like humans? Yes but that's a cosmic lottery there.
@@garethpelchat4724 yes, this was meant to be a single 1 hour-ish video but things got out of hand. I didn't have the time to edit one single 5 and a half hour long video, so I broke them up into parts. Consider all 3 Inner Sphere CI videos as all one video. I have a split-perspective thing going on as designated by IS Chapters and Clan Volumes Edit: unless you mean the book series in which case, no, the 3 books are the "Blood of Kerensky trilogy"
Phelan has a really unfortunate name. It's not pronounced "Failin'", as in the video, which is bad enough. Nor is it pronounced "Felon", which I thought. Turns out, it's "Feelin'", so he sounds like a porn star or something. Really, it's not good no matter how you pronounce it.

Read glad you did these bro.

And now madcat is making my life bearable joy to the world
A telling of the take worthy of any oathmaster!
You're doing incredible work, dude!
You 'went wrong' because Battletech is fun and enjoyable.
*Prepares for the long haul*

I too live on the canadian prairies. (well, slightly more badlands in Medicine Hat) and I appreciate the tone.
I'm one who enjoys long videos... Especially when driving between customers while at work.
This is cool, you're reminding me of stuff I read about back in the early 90s. forgotten some of it. but it's all there, it all comes back.

Mech warrior 2 had computers and or AI, and there non e biological, so cant be more alien than mere inhumanity can they ? Leona
What book is this from??
If you read the title, it says Lethal Heritage
@Madcat529 ahhh I was thinking that just wanted to confirm I take it the series is the called the clan invasion then??
