Love this video! Self critique is so important and I appreciate the example of some common things to keep in mind like smooth movement and pointed toes etc. I always forget my feet. I do that hip hang to single knee hang from “tears of gold” a lot and I find that it’s easier and smoother to take a cue from a crochet climb in silks and use your free leg to lever down and bring your torso up so you can grab higher. With a higher grip I find it a lot easier to either come to a seat or swap legs or, depending on how high you get your grip, just thread your free leg through to put yourself into popsicle. If that makes sense. Feel free to ignore all of that. It’s just what I find helpful when I want to incorporate that hip hang to knee hang transition without an awkward exit.
Thank you 😊 That’s a great tip! I’ll have to re-try the transition and use my leg as a lever to get up higher. One of the reasons I love taking group classes is so I can see how other people make their movements smooth so any suggestions on videos is much appreciated ❤️
What are your favorite ways to prepare for a performance??
