Thanks for telling the story of Peter Ryan. Not too many people know about him, even here in Canada. Sadly our motorsport story has always been so up and down (most of our best drivers died way too early, especially looking at you Greg, RIP) it's tough to have much of a heritage. But some of us still celebrate it, and it makes me happy that such a prominent US former driver and current exec would acknowledge some of Canada's heritage.
I became a big Bobby Rahal fan when we moved to Columbus in 1984. Cheered for him in CART and IMSA, then later as a team owner in Indycar and IMSA. It is great to hear someone very knowledgeable talk about a subject he (and myself) is passionate about. Great video!
Being from NE Ohio, Bobby was a personal motorsports hero. Loved seeing him race at Mid-Ohio Race Track. Eventually got to meet him, when his son, raced with us, at Barber Dodge Pro Series. Seems like a super cool guy. Nice collection for sure.
Grew up watching Bobby in NC Ohio. He was a personal idol of mine, and had many occasions to meet him in my childhood since my father worked during race weekends down at Mid-Ohio in our hometown.
As an owner, driver of 2002s for over 40 years i can attest to the greatness of these little cars. To this day i own two, one with s14 power. The other one will be going on a 2,300 mile trip to Ashville N.C. this may.
I was really hoping he had a Dick Barbour or Bob Akin Porsche 935k. Great collection none the less.
Followed IndyCar when I was a young man in the 80s and 90s but one thing that always impressed me about him was whenever he was interviewed by the press, he was always the most at ease, honest and straightforward. He wouldn’t go for the soundbite, but would always say what was going on authentically in his head. Yes, he also looks like Billy Joel.
"Oooohs, Ahhhs and Smiles!" for me as well Bobby. Thank you for sharing your collection. I hope we get to hear more about different cars in your barn.
More please. Your scale model collection looks particularly interesting.
Love listening to a man like Bobby. Wealth of knowledge delivered without any unnecessary nonsense, really interesting. Thanks.
Fantastic collection - many great vehicles but love the tii! Thanks Bobby and thanks to the Petersen for another great video!
Many different type of cars! Im loving that 1966 Shelby Mustang, very stunning car!
What an amazing car collection. Thank you for sharing your stories!
This video is very well put together. You can see the Petersen videos just getting better and better!
Top Shelf Man! Worked for him for few years at his M.B store in Wexford, PA
Had the pleasure to know Mr. Rahal and his Father Mr. Mike Rahal, a True Genuine and down to earth folks.
THIS was a great video!! Thank you.
Really raises the bar on what you can call a man cave. Nice collection. So much to see, so little time.

Great to see Bobby and his Collection
Incredible collection, you have all the classics. I love the paint job on you BMW 2002!
A wonderful video, thank you. I believe that he owns a Lola T 70 Spyder, or he did. I saw him race one at Sears Point for a historic weekend and if I recall correctly he nearly lapped the field.
Thank you sir for the introduction. Hope to see more please
Wow never seen a collection like this... how original... not just like 95% of every collection you see online now...
Being British, I don’t know much about Bobby Rahal. He is smart, extremely knowledgeable, fun to listen to, and is a huge history buff. Great fun to listen to.
Need another few episodes to get around everything in Bobs Garage!!
Fantastic Collection!
Wow Bobby is a great tour guide!
Wow. Bobby Rahal is a class act.
This was a special peek inside the Barn at this glorious collection.
Quite the collection!
great video, liked Bobby back in the day really good racers too ,nice collection
Great collection. Great presentation.
Thanks for the tour of your garage! I remember watching you race at Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen. I read somewhere one of your favorite driving roads was part of St. Rt. 83 south of Coshocton-I think i read that in "Car and Driver" magazine. I driven quite a few of the roads in the south-eastern part of Ohio beautiful country to drive through and enjoy. I enjoyed visiting your garage tour this morning very much, thanks for the tour!
83 from Wooster to Cochston is fun. SR95 from Wooster to Fredickstown is also a blast. SR-93 from south of Beach City is also fun, but watch for the Amish buggies.
What a guy..... I like him more and more as the years go by... God bless him.
Bobby Rahal has a very interesting collection, the Lotus 19 built by legendary Colin Chapman.
My first car was a '72 BMW Tii, I bought in '80, mine was White with Black interior.
One of the best drivers ever.
Great session
It's the indy car champ Bobby Rahal from the Letterman show.
nice hearing his knowledge and appreciation of these cars
Great stuff
I didn't know build number requirements to race made many street rods available. Bobby's analysis here was superb.
The Porsche speedster used in Top Gun, is a replica, which still survives I believe. Paul Newman has driven one in a film too, all black with Shelley Winters.
Crazy Mancave!!!
Super !
Bobby is a Great Historian
I wonder if Graham ever went up to Bobby and said, "Dad, can I take the Cobra out? Puleeeezze!!"
Such a cool mancave
any car collector who appreciates an old Lotus is a true car guy.
Hey little cobra, by the rip chords! 😁
Another history lesson on the GT 350? Wow!
Well done.
What a great collection of Alfa Romeo
I have been surrounded by Rahal dealerships my who life I didn't realize who he was tho. So funny.
I watched Bobby Rahal race on weekends with my dad.

That Alfa
I was always a fan of the Alpha GTA as well as all the old air cooled Porsche's
And ahhhhhh
Mr. Rahal I only have one question can I please have one? I'm dying of cancer so you can have it back in less than a year.
The 3.0 CS was the classiest of all the BMW’s.
Who's pumped for 🚗 s & ☕ tomorrow ?!! 😅
Nothing there for my fancy.

Ваз_ 21099 LADA ?
Auto racing has died so much.Once we lost Riverside raceway so much has changed.I miss the real driver who came from a family of racers. We can only look back and appreciate the pop culture that has evolved in the automobile. The real fans are probably collectors and enough said.
Was this the guy that pulled the political stunt with then Governor of Illinois, Rod Blago,...150 mph down newly opened toll way I-355 in Corvette. Not sure what it all meant but Blago got sentence 14 years in prison shortly after that stunt and me personally didn’t appreciate not being the first guy to do 150 on the tollway,...how did Rahal not loose his license forever as I would?
he's got good teeth, far do's...
To attract the widest audience, start breaking up your BEAUTIFUL vids into bite sized portions. No more than 10-12 minutes a piece. I'm a shit editor, I mean SHIT! But I get "lead in, intro, comparison with similar, introduction/explanation, highlight, tease for next vid, and close out. Any chance you need a terrible editor with a MAD PASSION for cars?
Hes teeths is simply too white and plastic....
O
Illuminati hand signals?
Less talk more car please
Boring
Another wonderful Petersen production! Thanks guys, and thanks Bobby! What a great collection! Have a great day, and .. see you tomorrow, for .. Cars & Coffee !!! Whoo-Hoo !!! Stevie! 😃
