Wish my Dad would be able to understand this. After studying my second semester in my degree of Theology I might not have acquired many skills to be more successful (according to societies definition of success) and I am definitely more confused then I'll ever be, BUT... I have acquired the necessary skills to live a happier and much more freeing life and I find that way more important.
To everyone who is interested in how my studies have been going, don't worry. It's still as spiritually and emotionally enlightening as it could ever be. Wouldn't change my decision to study theology for the world. Although I will say that I have lapsed from Christianity through my journey. But I'm not an atheist and don't regret the beauty of knowledge and understanding I have acquired. This doesn't mean you will lapse if you study theology. But you will most definitely be challenged in your understanding of the universe and of truth. It's been probably one of my most life changing experiences so far, and I look forward to how I will approach life differently because of it. I would encourage anyone who has a Christian background and has any sense of okay intropersonal intelligence to pursue theology. It will change your life for the better.
