@Colin Partch Do you think mental strength is something that can just be trained and improved or it is something that is in your DNA? Perhaps that is why he has Agassi on his team to try and get some wisdom
The comparison to Fed is hard to shake off, but I'd say he is less creative and less aggressive. He doesnt display as wide a variety of shots in general play, although I've seen him hit some pretty crazy stuff, but only on very rare occasions. How cool is it to have Andre Agassi as a ball boy!!!
Millenium13 Constantin it’s amazing how some players like Federer seem to get away by not getting injured...yet their technique seems to be so similar!
@@millenium13constantin58 Do you think had it not been for the injuries he would be alot higher...still tough to see him winning consistently against the likes of Federer, Djokovic or Nadal
is Monica Seles on the other court? also, Dimitrov has clearly modeled his game on Federer's more than any other top player has done. it's interesting to see someone do that, stick to it and be successful with such an approach. not just anyone could. it takes talent to be a professional player in general but also a certain kind of talent to study another player like that! Dimitrov can't be expected to do Federer as well Federer, of course. that is an unfair standard. on the other hand, like a chess player who builds on what has gone before them, Dimitrov might still be able to add something to the development of the game. in your opinion, has he? either way, fun to watch!
haha Monica Seles because of the screams? I wonder if his coach studied some of the biomechanics of Federer and made Dimitrov copy it from a young age, wonder if he spent hours in front of the mirror shadow swinging? It will be tough for him to build on what Federer has done as by his age Federer had already won multiple majors but it would be interesting to see what happens...he probably needs to get alot more physically strong
Actually it wasn't modelled on RF, his father laid down the foundations of his style, minimal, clean, fluid strokes!! nothing to do with RF at all, easy to see why fake news has published this misconception, but non. Biggest thing that lets him down is his balance on serve, especially on 2nd, he falls off a bit, hence a few doubles creep in
@@mkbaharris You can be minimal and clean but he clearly looks the same, the grip, the take-back, the finish and Federer was winning Slams when Dimitrov was in early learning stages so the timing works
@@LoveTennisOfficial Very true, however I have the feeling that his style has evolved a little bit since he started as a pro. He looked more like federer in 2011-2012
I think why Dimitrov has had inconsistent results is largely due to his serve. His serve is not terrible or bad by any means but for a guy with his height and weight he should get way more cheap points. Everyone compares him with Federer but that is the biggest difference imo.
@@LoveTennisOfficial It's his great placement and variety that allows him to get on the upper hand plus he has one of the best forehands on tour to back it up.
@@topspinserve94 thats true, also seems to play his best when he needs it, like he goes to the ultimate level of concentration and focus that no other player apart from Djokovic or Nadal can match
yup totally agree, his balance is off sometimes on 2nd, which stands out when double faults, plus he doesn't use momentum into the court enough to make it an attacking play starter
It's Dimitrov's toss . It's too freaking high. Federer's motion is a beautiful fluid thing ala Pete Sampras. The other thing is Dimitrov's forehand is a little too inconsistent.
I love to see him play but he pull of to the tournament But I like Baby Fed or Dimitrov we call any of them but I like Dimitrov Racquet its just amazing
He retired from IW due to the same old right shoulder pain he's been dealing with for a year now… I got the feeling he's gonna have some surgery sooner or later this year
This is the epitome of why Grigor has always fallen short of important moments in grandslams. There's too much concentration on risky shots that almost always breaks down in 5th sets, when the legs have less bounce, reaction time a fraction late, and the wind too unpredictable.
Seriously. I sometimes just listen to the sound of the pros practicing, without even watching. Just trying to understand how they hit the ball so differently.
Beautiful and efficient technique all the way! If he can solve his mental issues and be more consistent, he can be easily top 5 player again. I do not know if agassi is the right coach for Dimitrov, but we'll see.
@@drdlagsell yeah haha his slice was terrible! When you watched him hit you would think "why is this guy not top 100?" and then you see how he slices or deals with slice and you think "aaaah thats why!"

@Colin Partch Do you think mental strength is something that can just be trained and improved or it is something that is in your DNA? Perhaps that is why he has Agassi on his team to try and get some wisdom
He hits too many slice backhands and doesn't have a winners mentality. Entertaining to watch none the less.

Please get as much of this kind of court level stuff as possible. I will literally watch it for hours and have.
Agassi dressed like a wizard, wtf
Suvantola S the tennis wizard 🧙♂️
agassis head is like a bean
I was thinking more of a trustafarian.
Is he coaching Dimitrov now?
Baja's are in yo
Working with coach Agassi. I love it.
Future of tennis for 8 years already
Hi Hi hahaha lmao
Love that you got Andre in this video !!! Nice job
Do you think Dimitrov can get back to his best form this year?
I think he didnt reach his best yet 8-)
Yes, if he is healthy. He has shoulder problems for over a year now.

What did Agassi tell him? It must be precious advice
Is he using the autograph version or the lighter racket
Sounds like Maria Sharapova is playing somewhere near. I can hear her oooo-ing and ahhh-ing at the 0:38 mark!
