Great video. The betrayal at Kildrummy, its taking and the subsequent capture of the Bruce women is often a side note as the focus remained on what King Robert did after Methven in many accounts. Thank you for making a video about this.

@@JohnDonald114 I agree. I think the lives and escapades of the women folks are rarely touched on, if at all.

Great scenery. Absolutely one of my favorite channel's. To think Edward couldn't get any more aggressive in his tatics one would be wrong

@@carmichael3594 I’m looking forward to doing Edward when I begin the medieval profiles playlist. He’s a fascinating individual and likely one of the greatest and mightiest leaders one could ever face. Everything I have read on him just stokes further interest.
Moriss’s book A great and terrible King is very good, as is Prestwich work on Edward I.

@@robertthebruce-geniusofban647 what strike's me odd is how Edward 2 is so unlike the rest of the Plantagenet kings. Being the son of Edward 1st i do wonder why Edward 2 didn't pick up anything from his father? Maybe Edward 1st didn't train him properly or something or gave up on him. I wish there was some history insight to those two as father and son

Thank you for doing this video. I never thought I'd see this important historical site up close! I often wonder what really happened to the Countess of Buchan. Records are unclear. I like to think her family took her in once she was released.

Thank you- excellent. Those are magnificent gravestones you sat amongst- clearly some of those interred on that ground were 'of substance'-be interesting to know whether they post-date
    the end of the 'chapel'
One point-although my mother was from Argyll I'm not so hot on Scots' geography; I followed your story on Google maps but that breaks up the story- if it's not too complicated maybe you could post an odd map ? Not a criticism and please don't take it as such !
