But it happens all the time here in our USA.
Many athletes when they turn pro they quickly become millionaires.
But because of poor financial management and hungry vultures all around who drained these poor athletes from their wealth.
When these athletes retire from their sports they are almost always broke.....just like poor Ronaldinho.
Very few athletes really made good money after they retired.
Few that I know are Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James (still active), George Foreman, Shaquille O'Neal, John Elway, Roger Staubach, Herschel Walker and Peyton Manning.
Of course there are others too but all of these smart athletes had good managers and smart investing plans that made them money instead of losing their fortunes.
