"For over 35 years..." Chris has been making this damn series. That's how this should have started.
hahaha
Chris NEO - The IRATE Gamer hahahhahhaahhahhahahahhahahhahaha
I don't care what the haters say I like The Irate Gamer.
Agreed he's one of the best imo
Irate Gamer Try to be funny challenge (Level: Impossible)
You are literally the only person I know who correctly refers to the Atari VCS as such instead of its later name Atari 2600. Bravo, good man. Bravo.
Well I believe it wasn't called the 2600 until later in its life cycle so i made sure to call it the vcs
Irategamer I remember playing the Atari VCS at my friends house back in the early 80's when there was only Atari, these days I own a PS3 growing up and watching video games evolve was pretty exciting
Irategamer the changed it because it was commonly referred to as the atari and when the 5200 came out it was the atari 5200 super system so the called the VCS the 2600 so it was used to show that they had 2 different systems
welcome back chris! awesome to see you doing these videos again.
My favorite part was the Reset when Chris had to punch himself to shut up.
OMG!! I never thought i would never see a part 6. I been looking forward to this for years. Thanks Chris
Chris you get the award for the most entertaining video I watched tonight.
This is an amazing series dude, I know I’m late to the party. But for real this shines like a Diamond in the dull landscape that is retro game UA-cam these days.
About DAMN TIME!!! what took it so long?! it took like TWO YEARS!
Had a lot of loose ends to tie up first. So i took some time before covering the Golden age era of time.
oh. O.o and that is quite rare you answer me, and sorry if i was rude though, i actually kinda got a burst of anger and got impatient . ^_^'
Sinbad Naiver Don't sweat it, I know I'd be mad too! I had to wrap up the Irate Gamer show first before continuing these.
heheh. It's okay.
Any plans for more Irate The 80s, Chris?
An Irategamer video that isn't about Skylanders?
ITS A MIRACLE!
Took a while, but awesome and informative as usual. Great job man!
Great video! Thanks for the followup. I look forward to the next one!!
Keep going strong, Chris!
About Indy 500 : it doesn't work properly because you need the DRIVING controllers to play this game, which are like the paddle controllers except that they can spin indefinitely.
Yes, I made the same mistake when I bought the game. I thought it would work with the paddle controllers, but it didn't.
Anyway, once you get it working, the game is a lot of fun, even today.
Totally worth the wait! Best episode yet.
Great video Chris, makes me remember when i got my Atari in the late 70's :D
after countless skylanders videos spamming my subscription box, i see a video worth staying subscribed for :)
I was out of internet for almost a year, and come here to found this awesome series of videogame history. Thanks for everything. You made my night (OK, that sounded weird). Grats from Mexico, and I hope to see the next chapter soon. Anxious for it. =3
Great job Chris! Hope to see more of this series in the future, keep up the good work buddy!
Glad to see your HVG series back in action, Mr. Bores. Keep it up!
Ahh finally, non-Skylander content. Welcome back IG!

Great job Chris. Looking foward to the next part. Although this took quite a bit of time to be released, I enjoyed it.

Back with a bang. Good work man.
Well done Chris!
Ignore the haters and keep making great videos.
Agreed
Brehm Storm, I still think he is making good videos. He is a person just like anyone else, so keep that in mind when you intentionally try to hurt his feelings by being a douche and making hate comments. I enjoyed the irate gamer stuff and even enjoy the few videos we get now.
Can't wait for episode 7!
love this stuff. been waiting a while for it
Wow...how did I not get informed about this coming out! So glad it's back I have missed this!

I loved the 3 stooges reference and the Mr Magoo cameo lol
Haha this was very funny! :) great video and thanks for a little bit of history.
It's been a LONG time. Glad to see! :D
Nice work, I love this series!
Hey Chris, Ralph Baer just passed away, so I hope you could put in a small little dedication to him in your next HoVG episode. R.I.P. Ralph Baer, and again, thanks for this wonderful series Chris. Love every second of it.
You are really good at these kinds of videos, you should do more of them.
They also have the added bonus that video games, other than ghosts, actually exist ;-P
You actually need driving paddles to play Indy 500
This is the Irategamer that I love. So when's part 7? :D
Worth the wait ....thank you Chris !
The gengis pong got me laughing, that was a good one
THIS IS SO GOOD CHRIS. IM SO PROUD OF YOU.
Really enjoyed this video looking forward to more of them!
Why doesn't this stuff ever happen to Captain Kirk?
Part 7 will be released 2025 and will be 4 minutes long.
cantryss Actually he is working on the next episode right now :D
LadyBuggin777 I don't question that he's working on it. I question how long till he releases it.
cantryss Probably some time in Jan. or Feb. I suspect. Don't get your panties in a bunch tho., it will be worth the wait I'm sure :D Take care :)
Splitgunproductions probably all the pressure, but it's only 9 mins long, and still stuck in the 70's.
Screw all the haters. Love the videos and the effort you put into them really shows! BTW, all that video game paraphernalia you have, AWESOME!
I was waiting for this episode before I was a youtuber! LITTERALY!!!!!
Finally :D I really like these videos, keep it up!
nice video cant wait for the next one!
Awesome can't wait for the next one
Irategamer I liked the drowning with Pong consoles scene!
Finally! When you get all caught up in history you should tell us what your favorite generation is, from nostalgia and the innovation the generation did as a whole.
History of Video Games part 1 (1962) ~ History of Video Games part 6 (1977)
So... It took him more than 5 years in real life to cover 15 years of history?
Face it, guys. By the time he gets to PS2, we'll all be playing video games with neural implants.
Great video, Chris!
It's back! Welcome back!
Finally a new History of Video Games
Great video Chris but make us all a promise and don't make us wait 2 years for the next part.
This is a funny video, keep it up.
Nice!! So I guess you're not stopping the Irate Gamer series?
great work! i hope to see more soon!
The AVGN should be proud of you ;)
This was hilarious... well done!
I still own that Atari 2600 clone, called Rambo, with have bulit-in about 30 games. Nice video Chris, i wonder what would happened, if Mr. Bushnell didn't sold Atari to Warner?
Yeah the tension certainly starts here. Warner communications takes over from here and ends up running the show
And possibly ruining the show as well. Nolan should have been allowed to explore a compatible updated VCS/2600. I know one was in the works(3200) but I am not so sure that would have been enough. The 7800 was the right answer just way too late.
I like the video you did it's fun to watch
Awesome video!
Genges pong😂😂😂😂 love your videos ,really funny
surround looks like the tron arcade game from the movie, perhaps it's where tron took inspiration
What's the blue vs green music
Awesome stuff!
Hey Chris, why did you end the IG show? My best guess is you wanted to move on to other projects I would assume.
That and just to spend time with his family.
1000th like for an awesome series! :D
The "reset button" really got me 😂. . .💀
