I stayed at that cabin about a week before you did! It was super windy so it was extra nice to hunker down inside with the fireplace going. Merry Christmas!
It really seemed like one of the more cozier cabins, must be the little touches they put in there. That's awsome that you were just there before me. Beautiful area. Thanks so much for watching!
I never bring Beaver Spray along on camping trips because I figure what're the odds of running into an angry Jerry Mathers out there anyway? 😂 Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and all that jazz, see ya next year!
A mellow camping trip to welcome in the season and end the year. Thanks for sharing how accessible nature can be at all times and all weather conditions. I look forward to seeing you where you take us in 2025. Happy New Year and happy camping!
You should check out Lake Maria State Park. Three camper cabins heated with wood stoves. I rent one every winter, I usually wait until it's below zero. All three are hike in , half to a full mile. But very worth it.
I was actually there 2 years ago in my winter solstice 2 video. It was a real winter with snow and cold. I do want to try it again in the winter, maybe someday. Thanks so much!
Brenda here, we live in Mankato. The falls to the left of it, the stone is lite colored. Its because it broke away and killed a young man. Merry Christmas to you. Stay safe and good blessings.
The trail to the bottom of the falls has been closed since a large portion of the cliff collapsed last year killing one person, unfortunately. You can see it in your video as it is the lighter colored section to the left of the falls. There is now a ledge above that section of cliff that is about to fall and they don't want people to get hurt. The water is also polluted. I actually don't know if they will ever open it up again (sad) ....Leaving your cooler in the cabin screened porch at a southern MN Park is OK. There was a man who did that at a more northern park called "Itasca State Park" last year and a Bear broke out the porch screen and came in to get into the cooler. Bears have figure out that coolers might have food in them...
Wow, not sure how I missed that story, that's sad. No, I wouldn't leave my cooler out up north, even here it was only when I was around, you never know. Thanks Caveman!

Thanks for the trip. Nice cabin and Park. Wish our Pennsylvania parks had the cabins open in the winter.
I'd love to check out some Pennsylvania parks sometime, I bet they are beautiful. Thanks so much for watching!
Nice cabin! Got us thinking about doing some cabin camping... ;-) Love the buffalo! Happy New Year! 💙Terry and Terri
Thanks Terry and Terri!

Every time you say "train" I flashback to sitting at a Saints game at Midway stadium.😄
Yes! That is exactly where I got it from, glad I'm not the only one who remembers that. Thanks for watching!
Another great cabin spot!!!! Your awesome at finding my kind of camping spots.
Thank you Arlene!
Jiffy Pop Rules!!!
It does, but for me it's 50/50 if it turns out good or a pile of burnt ash. When I get it right, it's delicious. Thanks!
Very nice looking park. The cabin was nice too. Bison jams are cool we get in western South Dakota. Thanks for the video
Yeah, it's fun to hang out and watch. I ran into the same thing out at Custer state park a couple of years ago. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
I love seeing all that snow. Can't wait for a good snow hike this year. Thanks for sharing! Nice cabin and park! Here's to 2025 🍻
I'm patiently waiting for the first Cheffen with snow video of the season. Hopefully sooner than later! Have a great holiday season Cheffen!

Wow, I had no idea. I looked it up, thanks for letting me know. Merry Christmas to you as well.
Avenza has pretty much every map you could ever need, and is gps capable.
I will check it out. Thanks for the advice!

Heck, that's more and closer than any Bison we saw driving through all of Custer State Park in the Black Hills last year. 😒
Thanks for watching!
Is the campgrounds open year round?
It looked like they do have a limited number of sites year round. They had about 6 or so plowed out. Thanks for watching!
thanks for another video..will have to try camper cabins
