And oh man it took ages to set up even 1 shot that doesn't even look good. Serious respect for pickled and everyone in this video honestly.
I'd disagree that Neptune's shots seemed simple, he completely understood the assignment and got a 130 wallshot without jumping. Too much precision needed to seem simple.
Fun fact: my entry for this contest was too good for the game to handle - I originally had a different shot in place of the turtle shot that was super cool and unique, but it was so complex that for some reason rocket league couldn't even give consistent results - It scored on my client every time but always missed for sledge. I guess just more proof that sledge is a bronze, can't even score the goal when the shot is supposed to automatically score itself 🙄 So yeah, I had to replace it with the turtle shot, which is still cool too.
@@PickledMelon bakkesmod can mess with maps in training packs so it's not guaranteed to be the same mesh unless you test without bakkesmod. If you tried without bakkesmod then it's likely an amd vs intel cpu quirk.
@@jubjub727 nah, I've had this issue with some other complex auto complete shots I've made in other packs similar to this, and had other people do multiple tests, including turning bakkesmod off. It's likely some very obscure thing such as a graphics card or cpu quirk like you also mentioned, or some other very obscure and unknown thing.
Hope this doesn't come off as rude but were there maybe not a ton of submissions? A lot of these felt like they only half followed the prompt or at least my understanding of it. Requiring timing or more input than just "hold the button down" felt kind of wrong. Still enjoyed the video, just curious 😅
Yes I only had these to work with (besides two I eliminated as not qualified for the video). I would have liked to see more "automatic" shots but I appreciate the work that went into each submission as the video doesn't happen without them.
I was thinking about commenting something like this but would be fun to try since I can't really judge til I've tried it. I'm sure people could come up with better stuff though

@@WhiteVipor cool 1 touch shots like my turtle shot aren't the most difficult tbh, and you have the right idea, that's more or less my method, setup the car to do what i want it to do, then continuously adjust the ball until the car hits the ball the right way. It's when you get into multiple touch hits like my air dribble double tap and air dribble ceiling pinch that it starts to get very hard.
Yo Sledge, I have the best video idea ever NGL. Open net, Nearest to the goal speed, furthest away gets Eliminated. i.e 80kph, 8 people have a go, whoever is furthest away is gone. HMU for deets ;)
My first 2 votes were easy picks being PickledMelon and Niklas' packs for having unique shots using special maps and not straying too far from it being automatic by holding just 1 button. My final vote was between Mal and Neptune. Mal for having wacky and unique shots and Neptune for having clean simple refreshing shots. But I had to choose Mal even though any hybrid hotbox would've worked (I know it was a joke) and then Neptune beings an honorable mention.
Interesting note: According to Mal actually any hybrid wouldn't have worked. I think it has something to do with the suspension height on the Endo. Very small changes can be enough to break these.

@@Rocket_Sledge I can confirm that when I make packs like this, it does often require the EXACT car, not just a specific car hitbox, because like you said, while many cars share the same hitbox, the position of the hitbox relative to its wheels and the ground can be slightly different, and the slightest change can alter the outcome on some of these very delicately balanced shots.
How to become a freestyler: step 1 - use 1 button training packs. step 2 - enter a freestyle tourney and realize u r still plat 1. step 3 - watch freestylers and ask yourself y u can't press a couple of buttons on a controller in a very specific order so u can make money and make it even easier to press those buttons.
I liked the first few more then the rest but on the cool your voice and excitement dropping off I don't know if it influenced anything but I did pick up on it, just figured that was worth mentioning. It's interesting how someone's excitement can influence a viewers feelings towards something. I hope I'm relaying this right?
You should make a video where you tell 2 players of a similar rank that they'll be playing with a lower rank player but then put pair them together without telling them

Old Rocket Pass Wheel, can't remember the name but they were on an untradable tier and also do not come painted. So if you didn't get the pass back then you're out of luck (unless one day they add painted versions to item shop which does happen from time to time with old Rocket Pass items)
So last season I took a break and ended at gold 3 I have been watching alot of rlcs/gameplay and yesterday I started playing again I finished my 10 placement matches for 2s and ended up at plat 3 I won some more and now I'm diamond 1 div 2 What would you call that

Different maps have different geometry going up the walls, that might be the issue you were having.

You learned enough game sense to rank up. Most players champ and below lack game sense. Above champ 2 is when mechanics start playing a bigger roll.

Codes are all in the description of the video. You are right console does not have steering bindings so you wont be able to do all of these.
