And the fact that he synergises with the evo pekka even more since he stops throwing pancakes when a card reaches 20% of its health whereas evo pekka can continually heal itself is annoying. The chef could not have come at a worse time and a worse meta.
It totally does promote tank in the back first play tho. I don't play like that, and I'm usually able to punish it if someone else does it, but it's still no skill and although i can counter it, it definitely is unhealthy for the game and feels crap when you have a bad starting hand and matchup and they do that and you just lose in the first minute
Clash Royale devs: Lets take away heal spell, lets also take away maxed mirror giving 2 lvls. Also Clash Royale devs: remember all that stuff we took out? Lets add one card that does ALL OF IT.

is the royal chef still worth using at level 13 in champ rank? annoyed i dont have it level 14, i was just using my legendary wild cards without thinking and forgot i had 2 legendary books and a book of books ;(, 11 royal chefs away from getting it to 14 and i have 48.5k ewc, so can get it to 15 straight away as well
Yes supercell do nothing to combat the meta, while simultaneously releasing a tower troop that not only promotes, but boosts this current meta in this braindead cesspool you call a strategy game. The only strategy involved in clash is budgeting ur real life to pay them 50 bucks a month to be able to compete.
I just think the royal chefs concept is bad for the game. I would’ve preferred they just do a heal effect. Would’ve still been broken on release but at least they could have reasonably balanced it

I might be in the minority here. But I think there should be a cap on the level it can reach. Once it reaches that level, it goes to the next highest card
Goblinstein. But yeah gob giant decks have always struggled against air decks. You just kinda have to ignore it and pressure with gobstein, gob giant and pekka instead

The key thing is: this card GENUINELY helps you more on offense than defense. This is an offensive tower. Goblin queen was too, but this is ACTUALLY IN POL AND WILL BE IN COMPETITIVE PERMANENTLY 🫣

It’s a shame. I like how the card allows other cards you find less in beatdown like lava hound, but I hate stuff like evo pekka so much

Note the enemy monk can deflect your pancakes and level up your king tower , just had it happen in 2v2
