Welcome to Monopoly Plus
It's the Monopoly game we all grew up with as a kid...only this time its in 3D and the salt is even higher!
The game is broken and Ubisoft refuses to fix it. So we are playing "locally" via steam remote play. So when it crashes (And it will) we can load the save back up and not lose all of our progress

The last 30 minutes is just Chilled playing with his food.
20 minutes in and I can't tell if this is figuratively for his opponents, or if he gets bankrupt and is literally eating the last 30 minutes, like how he eats in the among us videos lol

Chilled solidified his lead when he got the 2 most important properties which gave him leverage against Elaina. In a way, Elaina was the catalyst that really gave Chilled the win though in a sense, Chilled got really lucky this session.
This literally ties with the lightsaber that Elaina got a few months back, if not more than that.

Nah with the Reds he already had the win. With the power to bankrupt before anyone else. As soon as he got the Reds with his equity it was a won game. Unless he experienced really had luck
@@themangastand8475 Not entirely. Had Elaina declined the trade, things might have gone differently for him since its only his reds that are the danger zones at that point. If he hadn't gotten the oranges, it would have been a close match with Cheesy.

How he was able to get the two pieces that secured his win. I'm not even 10 minutes in and I don't even need to watch the rest...

This is the epitome of playing Monopoly with people that don't understand the game.
If anyone is curious (i.e I’m the biggest nerd ever) On his main channel plus this channel(2012-now), chilled has played 31 monopoly games of which he has won 16, lost 9, Had 3 ties due to computer crashes, and 3 that never finished where a winner couldn’t be determined. Pls feel free to make fun of me.
I kept hearing about his old monopoly games, and I really wanted to see his previous games with Cheesy and Smarty and all, but he didn't have them in this channel's playlist. I didn't know they were on his old channel, thank you for sharing!

The funny part is, this is the most generous I've ever seen Chilled. His deals were pretty reasonable, all things considered.

Chilled got very lucky here, but Elaina had the most luck surviving as long as she did with no hope of actually winning.
The problem I see every time chilled is playing against people is they always think a deal is just 2 sided. It's about positioning, the question isn't "how is this helping the other person" it's more about "how is this putting me in a better position?"

I think people's thinking is often too boxed in by the reputation Chilled has. They enter trades thinking "Oh god, what devious
multistep plan of his am I playing into?" rather than thinking of a long term plan of their own and steering their trades in a direction that would fulfil that plan. Instead, they take the direction that they THINK Chilled is trying to go in and push the opposite way.
Don't get me wrong, they SHOULD try and push back against whatever they think Chilled is trying to achieve, but I think that all too often its this pushing back that becomes their primary concern, rather than having it take the place of 'Secondary objective' as it probably should. Like you say, they only see the 'here and now' of the deals they make and focus on the pro's for the other trader within that 'here and now', rather than putting effort into increasing their own long term pro's.

@Darren Rice literally came here to say this. when the pinks were traded for green, the game was lost. he was trying to get out of chilleds chokehold on the pair of them and fuck her over by giving the pink to her, but gave chilled the win in the long run.

Landing on those 2 bargaining chips was smarty level luck
Except if Smarty got it he would’ve wasted that opportunity in a horrendous deal or clutch onto it and miss out on any deal that could benefit him.
The best thing about this is that they know that chilled is the biggest threat to all of them just by virtue of how he plays. But what they and most of the comments don't realize is that chilled has the knowledge and capability to turn other players success to his advantage.
By not making deals with chilled early on, they ensure they will have to deal with him later when somebody else gets big and scary and because of that, they are forced to negotiate with chilled on his terms, not their own and that's the biggest mistake they all make all the time.

It reminds me of when somebody bankrupts when having a monopoly. The game aww's when someone bankrupts, and cheers when someone gets a monopoly, so the game goes aww and then immediately cheers because the monopoly gets transfered to who bankrupted them. It's the perfect embodiment of "oh no! anyways".
I really feel bad for Elaina, that deal really was her only choice
The unexpected benefit of Chilled not only playing Monopoly with the Derp Crew is that he has so many other victims to play with on a more regular basis.
This game is a nice change where the other players trade with chilled instead of shutting him out like the last games (and then screwing each other over with even worse deals than chilled would ever do).
This definitely felt like a game where people didn't let the ol' CTC reputation influence their gameplay choices, which I really loved to see. The victory of those "You tried to shut me out, but now you come crawling to me" games always feel nice but this ending felt satisfying in a more wholesome way.
New headcanon: Chilled subsists on his friends' pain, and tricking them into playing Monopoly with him is his primary vector.
Man its crazy how nice chilled played in this game and still won. Let two people come into the game when he could of just held and won, didn't hold any houses hostage when he easily could have preventing anybody else from being able to play, and even went out of his way to give money when they made a mistake. Major respect, this is the way monopoly should be played.

You can be in a worse position and try to make a better deal, it's not a bad idea
i mean looking past the 5 mins wasted during deliberation, her "sweet talk" did save her $50 so it's not like it wasn't a bad play even if it wasn't the most profesional one

This whole 3-way deal was hilarious. Chilled openly says he wants his friends to have fun and continue playing and gives them a deal which only hurts him and yet... Elaine is like "I want more" and becomes offended when her greed is shot down.
The deal didn't hurt him in any way whatsoever. It gave him the corner of death.
The Oranges and Reds are the two best Monopolies in the game for cost of houses and money gained on landing, plus their position after Jail makes them extremely dangerous.
Chilled regularly bullshits them and I don't understand why the listen. It's like for some reason if he says "This is a good deal for you, bad for me" despite all evidence to the contrary, they eventually just believe it. Were I in the game, I would have forfeited right there.
There were plenty of bad trades beforehand that gave Chilled an _extreme_ advantage compared to everyone else, like Kara giving away all her damn money so Chilled was the only one who could buy houses, but the trade with Elaina for the Oranges gave Chilled the win, full stop.

HOWEVER, at the time of said deal no one knew it'd get out of hand like that and all that needed to happen was for a few unfortunate rolls from Chilled or some very fortunate and generous rolls from the others and he could've just as very well had to mortgage his properties and not make any profits.
But yes you are absolutely right, getting a hold of death corner was very beneficial as we see by the end. Also I made this comment while watching that chaotic mess going down lol
@@toperishtwice See the better play was to choke them out by holding the monopolies out of reach, while having his own monopoly. The reds delivered the most killing blows the oranges were just fear factor.
Would love to see the 2 vs 2 vs 2 vs with this group and either Chilled and Kara or Chilled and Elaina as a team. The luck would be epic!

The group is always worried "what's chilled's devious plan" and not "What move is best for me in the long run" if you only worry about someone else you will lose think about your success before your worrying about chilled

So many memories from playing Monopoly with grandma over multiple visits as a kid. Cheesy reminded me so much of her, hurting us with the railroads, explaining everyone else's moves and how they were going to destroy us, eventually making a silly move near the end that lets someone else win...

15 minutes in and what chilled could do is flood the market with monopolies by giving a monopoly to p2 in exchange for the 2 greens then turmn right around and monopoly for monopoly p6 so that you add a total of 3 new monopolies which no one can actually build houses on since chilled can just steal all the houses across his new second monopoly leaving cheesy being the only one capable of building hotels but chilled has been marinating cheesy into keeping those houses off the market
it would make it so that litteraly no one but him could build anything threatening against him
The fun thing of these videos isn't to know who's gonna win, but to know how chilled is gonna win in spite of adversities. It's a learning experience

Also, Chilled got the dumbest luck ever, getting the bargain properties and basically no one landing on Cheesy's railroads.

Chilled got SOOO lucky this run. It's fun to see him with all of the power for once instead of playing from behind. Also it was so funny to see everyone a bit confused at helping davin when davin has had the worst game by far and everyone who he interacted with screwed him but chilled.
