What would you do if you wanted to go camping for 3 days and do not have access to electricity? The portable charger will give you one extra charge, but what about day 3?

Thank you for reaching out. That is a good question. We understand the challenge that being away from a reliable source of electricity can present for our recipients. In this case, it may be best to have additional portable chargers for time away from an electricity source.

Hi there! I'm a new bilateral implant recipient and about to get the Kanso 2. Couple of questions: 1. Can you charge the portable charger on a normal USB outlet? 2. Also, I have a nucleus 8 on the other side, so wondering if when travelling I can charge Kanso 2 via portable charger and leave it in the nucleus drybox overnight?
Would be great if the Kanso 2 could be charged via USB...

Hi Caren, thank you for your comment. I understand you are getting the Kanso 2 soon and have a couple questions regarding the chargers. The Portable Charger can be plugged into the Home Charger to charge. However, you do not have to do that. You will be able to charge the Portable Charger using the USB cable and a standard power adapter in the wall. When traveling you will be able to use the Portable Charger. However, you wouldn't want to put the Kanso 2 in the Nucleus Dry Box due to the Kanso 2 internal battery. Unless you are submerging the Kanso 2 in water, it won't be a problem to go a few days or so without drying it in the Home Charger. It seems the intention is to not have to bring the Home Charger when traveling and that is okay to do, as long as you have the Portable Charger and don't plan on getting the Kanso 2 wet. The Kanso 2 Sound Processor battery can deliver 2000 charge/discharge cycles which equates to 3 to 5
years depending on usage.1 After 2000 cycles the minimum requirement is that the built‐in rechargeable
battery retains a minimum of 80% of its original capacity (i.e. 80% or more). Guidance for when to
replace the battery can be monitored in the Nucleus Smart App or in Custom Sound Pro fitting software.

Can the portable charger and the Kenzo two processor be charged at the same time?

      Hello Phantom Zone,
I'm happy to assist you with this question, but I do need some clarification. Are you asking if you can charge the Kanso 2 with the Portable Charger at the same time you're charging the Portable Charger?

    I have some questions:
My son have a Nucleus 7 using the rechargeable battery and it last about 6 to 8 hour but after 2 years it is down to 4 hour max. With the N7 all I have to do is change or buy a new set of battery and it 's good as new.
What happens if the Kanzo 2 rechargeable battery can't charge anymore or last less than 2 hours? Do I have to replace a whole new set of Kanzo 2?
When is the new model coming out? I am considering to buy the Kanzo 2 but if the new upgrade is around the corner, I will wait.
    Thanks
