- Opening of the Trafford Park tram line 22/03/20. The new Metrolink line runs from Cornbrook to Intu Trafford Centre, calling at Cornbrook, Pomona, Wharfside, Imperial War Museum, Village, Parkway, Barton Dock Road and Intu Trafford Centre. You'll see me get off at all the stops, new and old. Had a blast riding the trams! Was also carrying my knickers round ready to put on in the TC but I forgot oopsies, not to worry haha.
It is refreshing to have a lady presenter for a change! I was unaware that this section of the Manchester tramway was in operation. Please keep making these videos as they are of interest to those in other parts of the country where there are no trams. Thanks for uploading.
No problem, thanks! 😀
You seemed different in this video. But please don't listen to the guards. There maybe 2 people who want to be asses towards you bit just remember you have the gloves army behind you. Your fantastic great genuinely nice person. Just remember we have your back. Keep doing what your doing. I really appreciate the time you put into your videos for me making me smile enjoying your content. Your a beautiful human being. And THANKYOU for been you and what you do xx your number 1 fan
Lol @ G. I nearly spat out my coffee when you said "Imperial War Museum... ahh, whats here..... ummm.......... oh yeah, Imperial War Museum" 😂😂😂. Loving all your vlogs G. Thank you for all the entertainment you provide. "Squiggy Babes" back at you 😊😊😊
Why did you get a train to Piccadilly after you got off at Victoria? You could have gotten an East Didsbury tram from Victoria and gone to Cornbrook from there. Did I miss something in the video, or do you just want to ride the tram on the Trafford Park line?
Brilliant video! Looking forward to taking a ride on the new line next time I'm in Manchester. Thought the compilation at the end was really cleverly done
Cheers! It’s a lovely line to ride, pretty quick ride actually 😀
a trick : watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
Have you really, wow, how interesting, please tell us more, we're so fascinated
@Holden Shepherd Definitely, been using Flixzone for years myself :)
Your amazing tram Vlog just popped up on the UA-cam home page I really enjoyed the Vlog and you can’t beat the Manchester tram I remember traveling on the older trams they were a grey colour I think I wouldn’t mind riding the newer trans just for the experience
Great video again G, especially the recap at the end, whatever the idea is floating in your head for new videos, please be safe and stay safe. Have watched all your videos but will keep watching them again as I'm sure there are things that I've missed first time around.
Thanks! Yeah I mean there’s not much we can do at the mo, shame coz it’s really sunny out as well!
intu Trafford Centre Primark Cafe didn't open for nearly 1 years?
Just come across your channel. Impressed! and subscribed!
You seem very enthusiastic when it comes to trains/railways. 👍🙂
Thankyou very much! And of course - love trains me! 😍😂
Not sure if u can answer this, but is this tram line a perfect, if not better substitute to the X50 bus from Piccadilly or Cornbrook to Trafford?
I’ve never got the bus there sorry, I would say so though! 😂
Oh, made it to Manchester at last, I see. 😀 What a shame it was under such circumstances; that was probably the “softest” opening day for a new Metrolink line ever! And I’m fairly sure the Trafford Centre has never been so quiet on a Sunday!
Haha yeah it made a lovely change Manchester being so quiet! 😂. Usually heaving in the TC 😂
What a very handy video. Very nicely explained too. I'd heard about the new building of the trafford centre line late last year. I'd been looking forward to trying it out sometime this year, but wasn't very sure where the new line would start from.... until I just watched this lovely video.
For me, it looks like it starts at Cornbrook, as that's where I would change over to, (from my original destination stops) to go on to Pomona, then on from there e.t.c. to eventually reach the Trafford Centre. (at Barton Dock)
Looked a bit surreal inside when you got there, and it was like being the only person to be there. (maybe due to the virus, though I'm not sure) At least it was a nice day for it.
Thankyou very much! Yeah just change over at Cornbrook and then whoop you’re on your way to the TC! And yeah this vid was filmed the day before we went into lockdown 🙂
Loving your videos! As NO Nova's turned up at Victoria, you could have caught an Airport line tram from there to Cornbrook. Not sure how I missed seeing you the day! I spent some time travelling up and down the line on the opening day too.
Aye true dat! It was interesting to see how empty Pic was though! 😂
A nova fact: The nova 1s (Hitachi, otherwise known as an azuma) Will run between Lime street and Edinburgh *via Newcastle. Nova 2, will run on the WCML. Nova 3 will run between Liverpool lime st and Scarborough hauled by class 68.
Yuppy duppy! 😀
Nice to see females enjoying this hobby... done the line myself first time today...
I agree with your TPExpress opinion
I can't wait till you try the trains in Northern Ireland.
Great videos G, your doing a grand job
Thankyou!
Great Video, love how you did the ending recapping the tram stops.
Thanks, haha yeah even I’m mesmerised by the ending 😂😂
Cheers! Yeah minus the headache afterwards it was fun to do haha (jokes 😂)
Trafford Centre innit 😂
Do you know why last year intu Trafford Centre so quite because is Covid-19。
i would love to go on that tram line soon :)
When are the new trams coming out because when we were on one it was the old dirty yellow ones which wasnt clean inside, litter on the floor and the outer bodies needed a good clean
Oh really? That’s a shame, they tend to be clean when I go on them haha, and I’m not entirely sure when the new ones are coming, I believe it should be in a couple of months but who knows lol
@@GLovesTrains they probably have been cleaned up since then, it was a old train line that was there at old trafford back in 2016/17 but i am glad to see it back in use for the tram system . The old line was used back in the latter part of the 90'S to the 2000's and used for the freight
Did you have been intu Trafford Centre Primark?
Power gets to people's heads. The prem league start on 2 weeks a might try this line as it drops closer to Old Trafford, not sure many fans will use it leaving the station as it doesn't go to piccadilly or gardens or station. cant wait to be back there.
Loving your Vlogs, what's the Knickers reference? Am I missing something?
Thankyou! Haha I was carrying them round ready to put on my head for style but totally forgot, I’ll have to do it another time 😂
@@GLovesTrains Next question ... _why_ do you put your knickers on your head? I mean, obviously it's better to put your knickers on _your_head than on someone else's head, but even so 😉
Nice video! I've always wanted to ride on the trams. I'm curious, what's a vegan fishy finger made out of?
Haha I'd have to check the ingredients on that one! 😂 tastes yummy though! 🥳😂
That's a nice junction at 7:11, reminds me of the delta junction on the DLR!
Ooh niceee
Used to live in Manchester and used to go to the Trafford Centre a good bit. There is a 24 hour ASDA across the road.
There is indeed, been in that Asda couple times haha
It's not 24 hours on sunday, I rode the line yesterday and asda shuts at 4.30 on sunday. Great video though!
What a Cool Outro!
Just found your channel! Great video btw :)
Howyou don't have more subbs I do not know :P

Yeah Novas and 185s run from Lime Street 😀
The new trams will be numbers 3121 onwards & will run all the way from Crumpsall to Intu Trafford Centre. Nice to see the ceiling of the special liveried tram number 3073
Ah awesome, thankyou! Yeah the liveried one was lush!
Not bad. Cool job with the video.

@@GLovesTrains cool
@@GLovesTrains Once your done with north west can you do Yorkshire don't worry there is not much as the north west as north Yorkshire only has the Settle and Carlisle line and the ECML and then West Yorkshire has the most stations in Yorkshire then South Yorkshire and then East Yorkshire is small so there isn't that many.
