Okay, you did a super job. So many of these videos don't explain anything. I'm heading to Anchorage next June and have watched a dozen videos on just the Alaskan Railroad to Seward, yours has been the only one that actually shown, (A) The process of getting tickets, (B) What happens in the city of Seward, and (C) That there is a dinner available on the train. Again a dozen of videos that show lots of scenery, but not one so far (other than you) that actually described any aspect of the journey. Thanks!!!
Thanks so much for taking us on your train trip to Seward. What a fun way to go there. The scenery was just incredible. You make an excellent guide and many of us I am sure, would love to go on an Alaskan expedition with you and Sherri! Take care and have a pleasant weekend. ♥️🚞🙏🏽🌎
I think Alaska is so interesting partially because it seems so many small, independent businesses can thrive. I guess a lot of chains don't open locations and so the independent ones can still survive. It gives Alaska a truly unique atmosphere. I pray all these businesses can survive this crazy economic period!
I love love love riding trains. This is so beautiful. I truly hope that the pandemic is under control next summer so people can visit Alaska and everyone can travel freely again without worry about viruses.
LOVING all of this Alaska content!!! I immediately shared this with my train enthus dad, but what really caught me was the end about spending time with the conductor. He would LOVE that!! He would literally never not tell that story haha
I’ve had the opportunity to ride the train a few times here in Alaska and I can genuinely say that those 90 minutes with conductor Warren were the best experience I’ve ever had! Because of the low numbers of people on the trains this year in Alaska he was able to take the time to do that with us which really is a memory I will never forget.
Our family went on a Disney cruise to Alaska and we still talk about what a beautiful state Alaska is, it is on my bucket list to go back and do a train ride. What an awesome day!!!!
How do you drop something like "The Jesse Lee Home" without any explanation?! Had to pause and look it up...so. stinkin'. interesting. And it's linked to a pandemic! That, and the picture of the rock as an octopus is the type of content I'm here for!
Isn’t the Jesse Lee Home interesting?! It looks like it’s going to be torn down though. The building hasn’t been maintained and apparently it’s a hazard, so even despite the historical significance it’s coming down.
@@LeggLife I want to read more about it. The fact that it was Native children displaced by a pandemic is just fascinating. To add on top of that that a kid from the home designed the State flag, and the State went with it in 1926 is amazing. It is so different from the history of the Indian School in Arizona, where they ripped kids from their homes and forced them into schools, where they were treated like savages. Makes me wonder a lot of wonderings about the children.
Thank you for taking me along on your amazing Alaskan Train to Seward!! Loved seeing all the wildlife at your time at the sea life center. That was so exciting!! Will difinity put this day, on our Alaskan trip in the future. You do so many amazing vlogs. Sorry Sherri missed it , but Auburn was able before she leaves for home.
We definitely recommend a day like this on your Alaskan itinerary! In fact, the train to Seward, a Kenai Fjords cruise, and exploring the sealife center sounds pretty darn perfect.
So glad you took the rest of us along on this great trip. What an awesome train ride! Great views and getting to sit upstairs. Then getting to see all the amazing sea life for a tremendous day. Much better day than sampling Fish Skins.
I think this is my favorite vlog of yours this summer! I knew I wanted to take the train with my dad when we go to Alaska in 2023, and taking it to the aquarium would be perfect! I adore that scenery and sea life!
Just got back from our 17 days in Alaska and already miss it. Binge watching your videos today to catch up on what we missed while we were gone. So much fun watching you guys tour our favorite places to visit in our favorite state 🥰. So happy seeing you guys out exploring this summer and what an amazing adventure for Auburn.
Ahhhh so cool!! We really want to go down to Seward on the train by the end of the summer. 🚂 The only trains I’ve ever been on are at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, and the Pineapple Express at Dole Plantation Lol! Lol @Auburn “woot woot!” That is so cool that you have a Benny Benson signed item!!
Love your videos! We just moved to Alaska last month and are LOVING it!! The beauty is stunning; absolutely surreal. Anyway, we have planned many trips around your adventures that you have shared with us on this channel. We are going to take the Alaska Railroad to Whittier next weekend and will be taking a glacier tour!!! Can't wait! This weekend.....DENALI!!
Hi Mark! Absolutely LOVE hearing that! Looks like the weather this weekend should be spectacular for your trip! Hope you're enjoying Alaska and we're thankful to hear that you're getting out and exploring already!
Amazing, just amazing! Alaska is so spectacular! We love watching your videos and Auburn's as well. You are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Sherri you were missed; sorry you had to work. We miss your smiling face.
I did a Alaskan cruise a few years ago and always wanted to go back & rent an RV to explore. Watching all of yours & Auburns vlogs have me planning for the future. Such a Beautiful state.
Thank you so much for showing us wonderful parts of Alaska. I have always wanted to see Alaska but have never been able to. I see it through your videos so again thank you.😍
We were in Seward for three weeks from the middle of June to the second week in July, when was this filmed. Next time we go, our family lives there we're taking the train from Anchorage to Seward. Thanks for this.
After seeing this video I am adding the Alaska train to my bucket list! I can see why you wanted Auburn to experience it before she left. By the way, I love the phrase "LeggLife Deep Diver." Lol
@@LeggLife That would be awesome. I will call out if we see you. Found you all through watching Somers in Alaska. Love what you do with the home, I have had family who has gone through some things. Thank you for all that you do.
I bet it didn't feel like a 16 hour day. The scenery looks amazing not to mention your meal on the train. Thank you for letting us travel through your vlogs.
That sea cucumber looked cute and not tasty. The seals are cute. Loved seeing the cuddling fish. The sea lion is cute. That reminds me of wen my gdad wanted to go on the Alaska railway. It was fun.
I also live in Alaska Born and raised right in Anchorage. I want to say I Love Warren we had him when we did 24 hrs trip round trip Anchorage to Fairbanks. I thought he retired glad to hear he is still going strong. If you ever have a chance do the Hurricane Turn flag stop out of Talkeetna.
Looked like an amazing day! Going to put this on my bucket list. Going to miss the teasing between you and Auburn when she goes home! Y’all make me giggle. 😆
Thanks for letting me relive the memories of the Alaska Railroad and Seward. The Anchorage depot was standing room only last year in Sept. The pot roast was amazing, right? I hope you had a Susitna Sunset cocktail with dinner. It was excellent. I remember Warren!!! ❤😊
Wow 🤩 what an awesome trip. It’s the perfect way to spend the day. I love train rides and the scenery was spectacular. That sea life place was so awesome. I love how in Alaska the towns have those free shuttles to get around. We used them in Ketchikan to go to the totem pole place and the local museum. I really enjoyed spending this day with you.
Hello there!!! What beautiful scenery😊 Hubby and I can't wait to book our Alaskan cruise as soon as cruising is allowed again. Thank you for taking us with you on your journey. Such beautiful sea creatures and I am proud of you both for not being afraid to touch them😂. Have an awesome weekend. My love to Sherri and Missy💜
This looks like it was such a fun day outing! How long did the train take each way? That glass dome seating - that's the kind of thing I would love to do. Just being able to sit up top and see all the beautiful nature as you wind your way across Alaska. Gorgeous! Thanks for yet another great Alaska day vlog! Loving them.
LeggLife it was worth to us since we were coming all the way from Virginia and to take in as much scenery as we could and we lucked out on the pictures and weather that day. But with that being said it was probably the most expensive thing we did when we were in Alaska since we included in our ticket package a tour of the Iditarod facility and to have a bus take as around some spots in Seward.
What an awesome trip you both had! Beautiful sunset at the end of the day! The SeaLife Center reminded me of the Living Seas at EPCOT Center (when it first opened at least) with the areas you could touch the sea animals. Thank you for sharing the trip!
I have been wanting to do that trip for forever!!! It looks perfect! ❤ I sure hope the Sealife Center finds funding from somewhere, I couldn't imagine Seward without it 😭
Question - I am traveling with my whole family ( landing in anchorage, training to seward, then flying to fairbanks) We will have carry - on roller suitcases, is there room to store them on the train?
Love the vid thanks heaps. Can you tell me what time you started and what time you boarded to return to Anchorage please. How much time did you have in Seward? Cheers
Oh gosh, this was a few years ago so I don’t remember. However, you can look on the Alaska Railroad website for their upcoming itineraries with the latest times

I truly hope they are able to stay open.
In the car we were in there was no one within 3 or 4 rows of us. I didn’t see anywhere on the train where people were in every row. Normally it was several rows of distance
LOVING the Alaska travel videos. Had to cancel all summer and fall vacation plans, so these are wonderful to watch. Thank you!!!
So glad you’re enjoying the Alaska videos!

I understand why people haven't disliked this video yet.
Vlogs of quality.

Warren is amazing! He was our conductor on our Hurricane Train experience! He is so full of information and very enthusiastic about Alaska History!
He is totally the best! I hope the railroad knows what a gem they have with him!
You are a delight! I’m sure the gentleman who has worked for so long enjoyed sharing with you too! Folks who appreciate others are a blessing.
I still think about that encounter with him often. What a wonderful experience that was!
