When they shot this I think I was working for them at the time. Eric and Eliza are really sweet giving people. Yes, Eric is an amazing actor and very handsome.
I have met Eric and Eliza on the set of The Candidate by Don Osolo. We had conversations that were deeply personal. Eliza is so strong and both are so passionate. Eric is so friendly and kind to everyone he meets. I was so blessed to know for a little while this wonderful couple.
I spent a great evening with Eric in 1987 in New York...we went to clubs and laughed and laughed. Great Fun!...really nice guy! I wish him every success... Ian Cussick.
Jon, I worked Off Broadway in NYC in 1987-88..wished I could've seen Eric in Burn This. He's one of the finest actors, ever. Good to hear he's a genuine guy offstage.
Overlooked in Hollywood? Thats an understatement. I'd say he is probably one of the top 5 actors of his generation. The sad think is that his charisma with Mickey Rourke in The Pope of Greenwich Village was so obvious, and he was a baby there and Rourke was already very manly. That when Eric grew out of his baby voice a few yrs later and delevoped a machisimo voice that could melt any woman, how could they not put two lunatics like Rourke and Roberts in co-starring roles over and over again?
I think Julia was pretty when she was younger, but she hasn’t aged all that well. Eric, on the other hand, is like a fine wine.🍷 He only gets better with age!
I've always liked Eric, and I agree with poster that he is a better actor than his sister, although she can be good, just not dazzling like Eric was in Pope of Greenwich Village for instance. Eric was cut off from mainstream Hollywood for whatever reasons, and he still has been in over a hundred pictures. Many of them stinkers, but he works. Lovely wife, good for him at this writing.
Such a great interview. Thanks for posting this. Eric Roberts is and always will be my fav actor. This man has been through alot as an actor and human being. Hollywood has always looked just past him, they need to look closer. His acting ability is amazing. Hopefully i can meet him in person some day
Eric is such a wonderful actor. I really admire him and his talent but what a hopeless interview! Great actor, mysterious, talented and with intellect, and they are really almost not talking about him but politics, and other such issues. This journalist should change his profession.
Thanks for your comment, hanulamax x. Eric and Eliza pre-discussed the interview content and it was based specifically on what the couple wanted to talk about. The angle and style of an interview can reveal appealing and uncommon perspectives for individual tastes.
Eliza is such an amazing woman, Eric is so lucky to find someone so loving, nurturing and compassionate. I thought Eric was older than her though! How old is Eliza?
I'm not believing what a horrible interviewer this guy is. He doesn't let Eric finish his sentences. His questions are so mediocre. If he worked again after this, Hollywood is on crack. Worst interview I have seen in years. Some people you need to keep on track, Eric is not one of them. The interviewer kept skipping from subject to subject. And Bruce Cooks views on politics should not have taken over the interview! And Eliza's politics are very Utopian and unrealistic. It should have been cut.
@@akkeforrest 63? Well, I'll go to the foot of my stairs. I actually think he was 61 at the time of this interview, though. I was born in 1956 and it is actually my birthday today. Enjoy your Christmas.
I was overwhelmed with his performance in "Best of The Best" as a kid ,Kind of cliche to say that, but he had such a love hate relationship with his on screen brother from another mother "Chris Penn" in that movie. I could swear they were blood brothers...Chris RIP was a legend in his own right, and they are all legendary actors and performers in their own right and extremely underrated as actors and Martial arts enthusiasts. Here's to another installment and continuation of the "Best of the Best Franchise...Super glad segall was not included because he is a Master in his own art,and would have overshadowed the others..I know there have been more to the franchise but, I do not want a reebot of this classic film. Can we reboot the Godfather? Hell fuck no! This movie is no where near the Godfather's in no way shape or form ( God Father fan here) but even the third one has many cryptic and genuinely satisfying scenes that brings closure to Coppola's epic piece considering michaels conversion and repentance down to the fact that we have A motif of God finally striking Mikey down after his repentance with total misery and loss, whis is a reflection of how man tends to think of God as a vengeful Spirit, when it's totally the opposite lots of philosophy and debate on Best of the Best which suddenly gave way to a discussion on"The Don's" Themselves "El Padrino"...May he live another 'cent ani'... Salute! (not even Italian myself but... fuck it, just glad to be a man and hopefully one day a "man of respect" Sorry no innuendos here.. Peace
I've recently come across a new interview with Switchbox TV and Eric Roberts on filming during the pandemic and working with Meghan Markle. Here's the link if you're interested in having a watch: ua-cam.com/video/-JrXEMoPHsY/v-deo.html
Great interview... when the interviewer lets Eric talk. It's 80 percent interviewer commentary and far too little actual reply. Irritating. It's Eric people tune in to see.
I love how caring she is towards him and him her ❤

An awesome actor, definetely one of my favourites. And a wonderful human being.
I just watch this interview in 2018 and I love Eric and his Beautiful wife....she in an inspiration for other wives like myself. Love U Girl!!
This was a good interview, very revealing, thanks.
Eric is a Legend;
I met him recently at Comic-Con. He was super friendly and nice.
Thank you Glokas7...he was truly very down-to-earth and unpretentious.
Well thank you for being lucky enough to be in Eric and Eliza Roberts home filming this interview. I like it, it's awesome. Their a good team.....

Have always loved Eric..so good looking.... and a much better actor than his sister.
I think she is better looking, but I have always like Eric. I even watched Best of the Best 2!
she owes her career to him. He got her a SAG card.
she can't act but man, he totally can!

@@sherrydalton6516 very true you should see the pictures of him as the Master from Dr Who by Big Finish gorgeous.

WTF his wife is in nearly EVERY interview I can find.
Eric and his wife are all class. The man interviewing them? Not so much.
Thank you for your comment, Beyondcinema, it was very cool!

Que guapo este hombre! Mi actor favorito,de pequeña!

this is so cute they make a great couple

Cook didn't have to bring politics into the interview.
"Stalked by My Doctor" I & II - not sure I could get into it...seemed material that was beneath him.
I thought the same thing, tacky.
Eric is the coolest, deepest, greatest actor in the world today: without question!.
Clearly was not meant in this context. Nevertheless, thanks for the commentTakenoraisins.

Great interview...But are democracy can not an will not change the middle east..
I wonder what the heck the Roberts are feeling about Harvey Weinstein, today. I hope their o.k. This video was 13 years ago.
No. Thanks for checkin' in though.

2004, i'm 98% sure
