As a Canadian and U.S Naturalized citizen, those same people exist in Canada in the rural areas, don't fool yourself. They are just not shown on news networks that beams the image around the world for everyone to see, Canadian news is national and local.

Their transition to Canadian weather would be smooth and flawless.

Canada and the USA were formed in similar ways -- subjects of Christian European Monarchs unwilling to respect their own rule of law or treaties they signed. The biggest disagreements in the colonies were around the willingness to pay taxes and/or pay for labour.
Funny how people talk about Kamala Harris being a trailblazer, given these subjects of European Monarchs crushed the female and/or democratic leadership that existed in North America long before Europeans showed up.
