I made one in chunky oatmeal. Gorgeous! I added two chains so I could knit one on each end of a row to have that lovely chain finish on each side
This is so beautiful Thank you for sharing Blessings
Thank you Deborah!
My notes for pattern in case you want to use. Love your pattern.
Row 1 - Purl all stitches in row (R to L).
Row 2 - K5, P3 end at K5 (L to R).
Row 3 - K5, P3 end at K5 (R to L).
Row 4 - K5, P3 end at K5 (L to R).
Row 5 - Purl across (R to L).
Row 6 - K1, *P3, K5* repeat, end at K1 (L to R).
Row 7 - K1, *P3, K5* repeat, end at K1 (R to L).
Row 8 - K1, *P3, K5* repeat, end at K1 (L to R).
Row 9 - Repeat from row 1.
The original pattern was 31 stitches (8x2 = 16 + 5 = 21 cast-on stitches) and measures 35x60. I want a larger blanket so did 37 stitches (8x4 = 32 + 5 = 37 cast on stitches)
IF making this in more than one color where would you make the change of color? Row 9?
Yes, row 9 would be a good place to start a new color
All your blankets are beautiful ,could you plz do a video on full/queen size blankets thank you
Thank you Cheryl. BIgger sizes are made in the same pattern, just starting with more stitches: 23-24 stitches for a medium size 40x60 inches and 29-30 stitches for a big blanket 50x70 inches.
My blanket keeps increasing in width on one side. Is it because I’m taking bigger stitches on that side?
Maybe try to make stitches a bit smaller.
This is a great tip. That’s what my husband said to do 😂. Thank you for your reply ❤
I have made two of these, which are beautiful. I want to incorporate different colors to this to see what it might look like any suggestions?
Bonjour, vous êtes un artiste, je suis un nouveau participant
Does anyone's blanket not measure 35 with 21 chains?
If you knit tighter - it will be smaller
Love it. Can't wait to try making it.
Thank you!
This is a beautiful pattern and very complicated. I think before I tried this pattern I'd have to return to the previous one that I think was done in Grey? You make it look so very easy. It really is it just takes patients and following the directions. Love all of your videos as well as your book.
It is not the easiest pattern for sure, took me some time to figure it. There is a simpler pattern for Basket weave: ua-cam.com/video/q_wpZcKixus/v-deo.html
How many woukd u increase to make bigger
Multiple 8 plus 5
Beautiful! Ive made over 10 of the regular chunky blankets & think its time to learn this stitch. Thank you kindly for your video. 💖💖👍👍
You are welcome! Happy Knitting!
Such a great tutorial especially in the beginning pointing to and pausing at the critical areas and moments one needs to and move their hands into a different position or to gently tighten their rows. Thank you.
You are very welcome!
Can this be done as a large bedroom rug? Which wool would you use?
Felted Merino wool would work for such purpose: becozi.net/collections/merino-wool
So beautiful 😍
Love this pattern, thank you for sharing. Im going to definitely try this
You are welcome! Happy Knitting!
this is beautiful one question how many yarn balls does it take to make one blanket?
7 skeins of BeCozi chunky chenille yarn for a blanket 40x60 inches: becozi.net/collections/chunky-chenille-yarn
That is beautiful, how many stitches to start if all you have is 8ozs of Chenell yarn
Very nice
So beautiful woman and so beautiful work
Definitely going to do this for my second blanket. I'm still working on my first which is a very basic stitch and I'm loving it
Thank you, sounds good!
This is beautiful! Thank you again for your kindness and generosity in sharing your talents :)
You are welcome! Happy Knitting!
What if I want to make the blanket a little wider? Which stitches do I add?
You would need to start with 13 more stitches. There is a description of the pattern under the video
💕
Brand new to this I'm going to make a regular one or two first before adding other stiching
Sounds good!
Thank you!!! So much!!
Thank you!
😍beautiful💕
This looks easy! I've followed your other videos and my blankets have turned out beautifully! ❤😘
How do I go a little wider? I need closer to 30 instead of 21.
FOLLOW this pattern: start with multiple of 8 plus 5
Lovely.
If you want to make it bigger is there a calculation for the starting row?
Very nice, thank you!
Glad you like it!
How mine do I need if I want a real big blanket?
Large size 50x60 inchees - 9 skeins, XLarge 60x80 - 14: becozi.net/collections/chunky-chenille-yarn

It means that starting from asterisk, the stitches will be repeated: K5 * P3 K5 Repeat from *: Knit 5, asterisk , Purl 3 Knit 5, repeat stitches after asterisk (Purl 3 Knit 5 to the end of the row)
