It’s about 80% sand- it varies. One corner is pure sand and the other is quite good- we move stuff around but yeah, it’s sandier than we’d like but we just make the most of what we have 👍🏼
NR8 Productions you should try building with ultra fine grain sand like u would find at the beach all we have is solid clay and beach sand near us id love your sand also sick vid
Unbelievable..I mean these trail are beyond corner policed..these are straight art..and id love to roast them I know that..amazing job fellas 🤙🤙🤙 SO SICK 🤘
I see a lot of channels with comments saying something along the lines of “you deserve more subs,” but this is one of the first that I’ve ever agreed with completely. The shots are so professional and the production quality is so great that it is truly mind-blowing that you haven’t blown up yet. +1 subscriber from me
This is some serious hard work. I have backyard trails of my own, and it comes to show how much effort it takes to create them. I’m pretty sure that if it were only one person working on this... it would take years👍
man that reminds me of growing up . all i did was make dirt jumps in the woods for my bmx bike and sometimes my friends would help . but when it was all done . they all would say that i built the most badass track . now im 34 and race quads and im still building trails and jumps by my self with a shovel and a pair of pruners lol . we get old if we stop playing done ever stop playing
Got you covered buddy- check out my other vids to see them being ridden later in the year. A lot of this digging is done during winter so it doesn’t get ridden for a while. :)
I clicked on this thinking it wouldn’t be that good but it’s great you guys are so good at building jumps and can only imagine the hours of work you put into that
I’m not kidding, I’ve never watched one video of you guys building right. This is the best trail building video I’ve ever seen, everything is such a easy watch, I love it and have subbed
That dirt looks soooo money. Absolutely flawless job my dudes. Keep that shit up. Lifes not a garden, it's a dirt jump. So dig it and send it biiiiiiitch!!!!!
So good!!! Love your guys videos !! Building with the hoots crew at the moment making a series of my own !! Love watching your videos gives me inspiration
Dude I can totally understand what you mean. When you're working on trails solo, progress seems slow going. You're doing kick ass work though my friend! The soil you're using looks like sand to me. I'm from the Northeast US, and the soil around here is almost black. You can't stick a shovel into the ground around here and NOT hit 20 huge rocks. Progress is extremely slow over here. Dude, that little set of stairs you guys built is sick. I love those little details at trails. Keep digging my friend!
Man that dirt is epic, I live in the desert and it takes 20-30min of swinging a pickaxe just to get 1 wheelbarrow full of rocky dry soil. You guys look like you’re building with perfectly moist beach sand.
Thanks dude! Yeah definitely sandier than we'd like! Lucky to have a few patches of better stuff but nowhere near enough! We don't claim to have perfect dirt or be the best builders, we just enjoy making the best of what we have.
You literally need to make multiple videos of all of this amazing hard work, talk about the jumps more, you could’ve made a good quality vid out of just the steps and landing.
Hello dude- You're right- but at the time that work was done I wasn't making youtube videos. I made just one 10 minute video a year to show what we did each winter for a bike website (pinkbike.com). In future I'll be taking more time to explain what is actually going on! Thanks buddy!
Have you ever seen someone make a moss slurry to plant moss, yogurt blended up with a patch of moss, turns into liquidy gross lookin stuff but whereever you put paint it spray it pour it moss will grow, helps keep jumps moist. Your atrwork looks amazing them backsides would look dope fully greened in.
I've definitely built stuff that looks great but doesn't quite work out as I hoped- one of the berms in this video is gone already... but when you get it right it's awesome. The final section of the video works so good and people are going to the moon. You win some you lose some- just got to be willing to admit if it doesn't work and change it.
Your so lucky with the dirt that you have
Alfie Byers yeah it’s like it even dirt it’s sand
Sorry I just had a stroke what I meant to say was the dirt they have is sand I think

@@justkeepdigging1956 probably better than all the boulders rocks and roots at our jumps we have to sieve our top layers for hours
Unbelievable..I mean these trail are beyond corner policed..these are straight art..and id love to roast them I know that..amazing job fellas 🤙🤙🤙
SO SICK 🤘

This is some serious hard work. I have backyard trails of my own, and it comes to show how much effort it takes to create them. I’m pretty sure that if it were only one person working on this... it would take years👍
It's taken us years as a group! Haha!

@@jasonwong6477 keep at it and try to find a job within the industry
@@867diesel like a trail building job?
@@jasonwong6477 that or a bike shop . learn how to edit videos and make a youtube channel also
idk why but watching someone build jumps is so satisfying also i class building jumps as a skill and an art.
You guys are awesome! This video was indeed strangely satisfying. The only thing that could make it better would be seeing them ridden at the end.
Got you covered buddy- check out my other vids to see them being ridden later in the year. A lot of this digging is done during winter so it doesn’t get ridden for a while. :)
Don’t ride jumps but subbed just for the quality of this entire channel. The Jumps, the editing, the music. Serious class 👍
MrOitoyboy thanks dude well appreciate that. Got some good stuff in the pipeline- hope you enjoy it :)
I clicked on this thinking it wouldn’t be that good but it’s great you guys are so good at building jumps and can only imagine the hours of work you put into that

Bro these vids are amazing
We spend hours just digging not even getting a full shovel of dirt you guys are very lucky
Then find a new spot with some better dirt. If you knew the dirt was shit why would you start digging there in the first place
Awesome work guys!

What angle is that lip at 2:54?
Imagine how much bigger the jumps could be if they had like an excavator or somthing
No Rocks is the dirt a little sandy because it reminds me of my trails and the dirt is a little sandy or you dealing with PA style clay
Like if you agree these are better than Greg’s Barlings dirt jumps
looks so good! will these be open to the public?
