A mobile catering van what a great idea , you've got to love retro
It's just crazy how easy you make it look. Like watching Bob Ross,
Can I love the video? Damn it, YT doesn't let me, thumbs up it is then! You sir, are a credit to the makers' community as the internet is long and wide! Also, I could swear the van is supposed to be for some catering purposes, coffee and this sort of stuff, I remember you doing an opening on the side of it.
I really enjoy these hand skills of yours Trev. Now retired I was an old time city & guilds trained coachbuilder & later SHEQ QE in GRP composites & Resin mouldings in automotive & construction vehicles OEM suppliers to all major manufacturers both in the UK & world wide & I still learn new skills every day cheers!
Impressive. I love the fact your repairing panels without complex tooling in the main brill .
You are AMAZING Trev, I love watching your work.
I believe the van is to be used for catering at car shows, festivals etc. Keep up with the good work Trev!
Greetings from a wet NEW SOUTH WALES!!! It seems like we have the POMMY weather!!!!!!
Trev, great video again. You are going to use your restored Van as a coffee and cakes vending van. You are training to become a barista. I really appreciate the fact that you show techniques that do not require a large cadre of specialized tools. Thanks again for you great dedication to teaching. Cheers, from the USA.
You are an excellent teacher.
If only I could spend about a week with you in the shop! I’m really looking forward to trying these techniques on my 1958 vw panel bus! Brilliant work mate! Yes PLEASE make more of these videos! Van is to “express your talent by serving espresso!”
Hi Trev, the Van will be used for catering, hence that awesome flip up side door you made ;-)
Luv ya work...brilliant!
The van is for catering. Remarkable material you share and you’ve developed into an excellent presenter and story teller in the video medium. Thanks Trev!
Good afternoon Trev, once again beautiful work. Your talent and expertise just amazes me. I learn every time I watch. Thanks for another grt video. You take care.
Remarkable result Trev!!!!!!
Loving the blog! Couldn't ask for a better teacher!
The van is for smuggling badgers into 10 Downing Street, special side opening for the pair of mini trebuchets to hurl said badgers through open windows into the sitting room.
PIPER DOUG that could only be a piper Doug reply 😘
@Mr T Yeah but you try getting an angry badger to sit in a catapult never mind 2 at once!!
Careful now, not to be cited as inciting treasonous acts nor animal cruelty....
yes! please make more of these videos.
having fun cruising around with that nice van of course! and have nice coffee always with you if someone needs it. I missed the Johnny part and the awesome outro from the video :)
Always awesome.
There is no me without you...if you have any questions feel free to ask or email me! Thanks
Nice work mate, when I was at a Ford dealer back in the late 70's a guy I worked with put a 1600e crossflow and a 2000e corsair box in a CA camper, very cool ride, four on the floor rather than three up the tree, when my bike was off the road he used to pick me up for work, it was great flying along at unusual Bedford speeds with the doors open, great memories, I hope you have plenty of fun in your Coffee & Cake catering van, all the best.
Watching your tutorials makes the seemingly unattainable, vaguely attainable..fantastic work sir
Great...another classic well presented Jodi...thank you
Love the way your use simple hand tools, skill, and persistence to get a beautiful result! I believe that you plan to use the van for mobile food and beverage catering.
lovely work Trev...just working on my daughters Freelander...repairing the sill for an MOT..old metal cut out, new metal patch fabricated...now onto welding it...Inspirational videos such as yours empower the 'home enthusiast..'..Cheers dude..
well done mate another stunning piece of craftsmanship expertly demonstrated
The Bedford van is a catering vehicle.
I'm doing it for the last of the hammers.
Thanks Trev for your well done videos and explanations!
Awesome work as always Trev !
As for the van, you are going to use it as a "catering" van. Here in the states we call 'em Food trucks
Todd
Thank you Trev for spending time worrying about how we amateurs do our projects. All respect for your patience with the work you perform. World would be a better place if everyone would share their knowledge as you do. It doesn't get more exciting than when you let a panel from a Citroen DS occur at the screen. Magic is happening. I even imagine I could make a panel my own with your convincing advice.
👏 masterclass at its best . Nice one Trev . Van is for catering
Looks great.
There's something very rewarding in watching any type of industrial metal forming. But doing it by hand is just mesmerizing. Well done!
Its going to be Catering Van. Another top video tutorial Trev
Great watching again Trev.
Thanks for watching it again, one day there’ll be new content 👍
Always a pleasure to watch your blog Trev 😁
I have worked in the trade for 30+ yrs and it is always good to learn new tips
and ideas that can aid me and others in the trade of car restorations
Keep up the good work
Answer to your question is a catering van/ coffee and cake mobile
With a great awning
Sir, you are an excellent teacher. I knew you had it in you (you, probably, do not remember me asking to explain the process when fabricating a piece with sheet metal; you told me there were other that did that, and even gave me a name, which I did look up & subscribed to his channel. And here you are teaching us the process! AWESOME). Thank you
Great one! World’s most gorgeous and handmade coffee & cakes van...
As ever informative and inspirational. Answer is a catering van
.
Great work Trev, your detailed instruction is spot on 😊 your van will be used to serve coffee at shows 👍
you make it look so simple Trev. This reminds me of the lead work I used to do on the Watney Mann Pub roofs in London back in 1969-70 only lead is so much easier to mould and beat into shape
Thank you‼♥️🇹🇹You are Awesome‼
I'm taking on the "Rust"oeration of my Dads Vauhall Cresta 68'. At first i was going just ty and stop the rust with a little first aid. Because I'm currently DIY ing a small home and funds $ ar being directed towards that. But then, i see blogs like yours .. without using a fortune in tools and.... 🤔. Im retired and multi skilled. Im so excited to start🤸🏽♀️⚒🗜 God bless you👏🏽🙌🏽
I made the quarter panel ends on my old Chrysler wagon using the same method. Worked perfectly, tail lights fit better than factory. Great video Trev and well explained.
Amazing results. You are a true restorative master. I am going to continue to watch your videos until I learn how to shape metal correctly. You have saved me a lot of money sir.
Awesome, thank you!
Trev a great demonstration as usual - you're an artiste!
The Van's going to be a mobile coffee bar - keep uo the good work!
Greetings from Wet Queensland. Great video again Trev.
Beautiful work explained so well. I love this blog. thanks.
Trev,
Gotta say that I quite enjoy your videos. I am not a body or repair guy by any means but have started a project on a 1964 Dodge Crew Cab which I found out on a ranch next to the Thunder Basin open pit mine. As it seems most projects start one gets into the repair and replacement of panels and realizes there's so much more than one thought. In my case repairs of rusted out panels which are so expensive that I'm trying forming a number of them. This is why I appreciate your tips and tricks in forming and replacing panels. Thanks heaps from the Rocky Mountains in WY, USA.
Great video! Unbelievably high quality craftsmanship! Thank you for sharing. You sir are truly a metal magician! Looking forward to your next video.
Hi Trev. Thanks for sharing your skills. You have motivated me tear into a rusty TR4. Your Bedford van is going g to be a very cool catering van.
I was a vintage car restorer, and gas welder. I have to say that this is bloody good work, mate! Thanks for sharing your skills.
Some great skills, your van is being restored and built to be a catering/coffee/tea van. looking forward to the next installment
Ummm, Wow! Very important explanation about the use of the weight (I.e. - the I-beam piece) behind the edge being hammered! I wouldn't have thought of that ... until it was too late, of course. Excellent video on the process, Trev. Thanks!
I just have to say this.... of all your videos, i enjoy more -the ones which show you how to perform metal forming, , far more than ones involving paint, bondo, etc etc. Just my 2 cents worth. Dont change a thing. Great teacher!
The van was restored, and refitted to become a catering/ mobile cafe/cake kiosk for you and your wife. Great content as usual 👍
Once again extremely informative, I just need to remember all this stuff. Anyway I believe the bedford will be used as a sales vehicle for coffee and cakes at markets etc.
Awesome video as usual Trev. The van will be used for coffee and cakes.
what a great piece of panel work great job
Just wow. I would love to do this. So satisfying. Hopefully this will be my future, only as a hobby.
Coffee van. Another excellent vid Trev I'm sure I'll use your techniques.
Your plan is to use it for a Mobile Bakery with your wife. I have 64 Oldsmobile cutlass my wife and I brought home in the back of a moving truck. All the parts where in milk crates or boxes. Almost finished with a half of the rear quarter panel that I made. Had to replace the trunk floor as well. Rust is fun, gives you opportunity to learn a new skill and play with metal. This will be the second largest part I've made with no experience expect you tube research. Trev makes it look so easy and shinny new with no flaws on seems.
Beautiful work Trev.
Brill once again Trev . Thanks .
Brilliant! Enjoyable! Nice technique! Thanks!
You make it look so easy, Trev. Well done..!
Great video Trev. Another great demo of your awesome skills had me mesmerized from the start.Your van will be used for catering, tea, coffee and cakes.
Cheers, Jeff.
Brother u are so inspiring!
Yes another panel beating video!! I love these. I'm more into metal shaping than painting to be honest, but I understand that the video's are going to be about whatever needs to be done to get the mobile bakery finished. I watch the paint video's anyway, cause there always more than a few good tips/tricks in them... :)
Trev, Yet another informative and well put together video. Excellent descriptions and great practical demonstrations.
Your van is to be used as a mobile coffee shop/ catering business. I hope the success of this doesn't drag you away from producing these fantastic videos for us all to enjoy .
Since I don't have the funds or the space for the fancy metal shaping tools, it's great to watch you shape metal with the basic tools I have in my garage. Can't wait to try this out on my project! Thanks for sharing Trev from the U.S. Subscribed!
Its going to be a catering van...as usual the stuff you show us is extremely useful. You make it look a lot easier than it would be if I tried it!
I recognise that Citroen Ds exhaust housing. Spot on Trev, I love your work.
Another brilliant video. Great tip about the extra metal around the formed area. Reminds me of a quote from my old woodwork teacher: "leave your timber as long as you can for as long as you can". The Bedford CA will be a catering van serving coffee, cakes etc. by you and your wife at shows. If the cakes/pasties are as professional as your metal working skills, then there should be a lot of very pleased customers
Purpose of the van is to be The Coolest catering van on the planet!
Great video again! Hope to see more metal shaping.
Lovely workmanship and very well explained , as usual.
Another brilliant video, thank you Trev. The van is going to be used for catering.
Brilliant
As always astonishing results and painstaking attention to detail. Great work!
