I´ve played in a melodic metal band and was searching for a female vocalist, some were pretty good, but their vocals were not strong enough. Alot of experience with female singers on that point. But Vibeke is absolutely amazing it is really hard to find female vocals like her that fits to metal. A little wine and hearing this number, a tear drops from my eyes. Stunning vocals.
+peter christensen well, in that case I am so sorry I live in the other part of Europe, cause I got compliments for my vocal abilities many times. True, I can't sing as good as Vibeke (after all, she is a soprano, she got education), but I can sing very high too, almost like Vibeke and Tarja.
@juanawishmaster this is definitely one of my favorites. the first one i heard as lethean river and that song was extraordinary. I'd have to say I think Crushed Dreams is my absolute favorite by them, though. absolute masterpiece.
@pcrvg0808 Well the thing is that Tristania removed both their heart and soul. Changing your lead singer makes quite an inpact on your overall feel. A guitar is a guitar, a voice is unique. Before World of Glass Morten Veland worked with Einar Moen creating all the music. But Veland left to continue doing "his thing" with Sirenia. (Unfortunately, he was making music for a big band using few artist and it never quite matched Tristania.) Point is, it's not evolution because it's not the same band.
