lol, remember getting a level 50 long range sniper rifle like this. Damn thing would one shot teleporter ships. Something like 600 damage per shot, with fast reload...
Now playing EDF 5, got a level 17 plasma cannon, 7146 damage wing diver. One shots teleporter ships. Pair that with a long range bolt gun ver 2, and I can snipe spiders from half a mile, then launch plasma bombs at the Damn alien soldiers. Love blowing them to pieces. Slow and dramatic the programmed ver 5 with visual damage to the monsters so they show burn damage and bullet damage, lose limbs and can be head shot. Very good upgrade from 4.1.
Really love the visual health bars in the form of how much damage the enemies show, (wounds)
Simply amazing.
13:45 Alvin and the EDF
I found the best way to farm blue fighters is with a master rapier and any form of sniper to take out the second dropship.
step 1: very start of the mission start flying up to the closest dropship. Start shooting with the rapier into the dropship and kill it within seconds. Fly down and kill the hector it dropped.
step 2: let the two hectors start walking over while agroing them to fire and hide behind the school. wait for them both to waste their shots than fly out and rapier them up killing them in seconds.
step 3: follow under the second dropship and every hector that drops down you can kill them instantly before they can even do anything with the rapier and repeat as long as desired.
step 4: when ready to stop. snipe the dropship and try to get it to die near the school. if you kill it on the other side the shield hectors spawn to close and can easily kill you.
step 5: once the dropship is killed and the shield hectors spawn stay on the far left side to kill the left hector first. right will get distracted by the fencers. To avoid being killed by the hectors spray just fly as best as you can towards the left circling the hector till it stops firing and than fly in and land at its foot and butcher the foot till it dies. repeat on the second one.
step 6: ???
step 7: profit.

In mission Blue Fighters you can only farm with wing diver and i can use ranger fencer or air raider because wing diver can avoid enemies
I was able to do it as an air raider with a helicopter I had gotten from farming an earlier mission on inferno (might've been Crimson). It was a lvl 63 Brute D7. I stayed on the starting platform and used it as a stationary turret while one transport ship did a couple of laps. Destroyed the transport, killed all but one Hector, and ran around collecting boxes. Sadly, it can't quite do damage fast enough to do this forever, so your allies die, and then the hectors come for you. 2 laps was about the best I could manage.
I did something similar with the Fencer, dual-wielding the Gallic Heavy Cannons. My other set was a shield and blasthole spear.

I did the wing diver method on crimson, got to last wave of bugs and got disconnected from my session ;___; what a waste of time. It does work though.
the balam run seems to be completely rng, using the same level balam in vid and getting destroyed before all the ants are gone

I am not quite sure this works today. Playing EDF 2025 mission crimson the ants continuously cut/trample down the trees that I am on.

So I’ve never been able to ask this and might not get an answer but was 4.1 a clone of 2025 just for different platforms cuz i play 2025 still (xbox series s) and most missions are identical

Up to 92 on Death Queen offline? So I could theoretically get the Gungnir like this? That and the Lysander Z are the only big ones I'm missing at this stage, but I don't want to buy the DLC at full price.
Yes! You can get Gungnir and Lysander Z at Death Queen (offline).But higher level weapons drop more frequently at later missions.
I just got the Gungnir (and Thunder Bow XD) online on level 92 yesterday :). All I need now are Rule of God and some level 70 weapons.
I suggest offline mission 86(Battle to the Death) to get Rule of God.I think it's easy collecting level 70 weapons at online mission 81(Machine Squad)
Aye I'll try Battle to the Death again cheers, hope Rule of God is worth it (though it sounds pretty amazing). Bizarrely I also have a level 4 Ranger weapon that I haven't picked up yet :) (though I've hardly played the easier difficulties).

They way I get high lvl weapons is play to mission 6 until you get your first lvl 1 weapon and do mission 3 to 1 on hard and then 6 again on hard and then you'll have weapons from lvl 0-22 within 30mins of gameplay and then mission 14 (Preventing Landfall)
Mission 26 (Crimson) weapon lvl 0-58 and mission 28 (High Speed) 0-64
How do you get the ants not to trample the trees down. They continuously do that for me.

@@able.3566 thats the issue its the older version of the game the one for the ps4 is a remake of with the 60fps instead of the 30fps on yours and thats why the trees fall down from the ants because its the older version of the game

It's very RNG how the flying drone movement are, I've keep repeatedly retry the mission since how unpredictable the flying drone are...

so basically i can't farm super high level weapons on inferno if i'm not a WD or air raider.
I was able to do level 14 on Inferno as Ranger with level 15ish weapons. You basically just hide for a bit until the air units are gone (if you have ~500hp you should be able to safely help kill them as long as you have a decent weapon to use, I used a lockon missile launcher that would kill in 2 hits). After that, just don't get too close to the hectors and the tanks should wipe them out. You have a good amount of time to loot before the 2nd wave of hectors comes in. If you have anything with decent range you can stand back and just snipe the hectors after the air units are gone. Can get up to level 55-60 weapons like this on inferno.

I hardly use Fencer so I don't know How to use Fencer.I have loved Ranger since EDF1 (Japanese Title "THE 地球防衛軍"). But Air Raider is easier collecting items and killing enemies than Ranger because Air Raider can call Vehicles.

you tried what? and i guarantee all of this works, maybe you messed up, in some missions its easy to make a mistake that costs you the whole mission, especially on Inferno
