Hello dear friends of happy inline skating and the wonderful feeling of freedom on wheels. My name is Daniel and I welcome you to another tutorial of our inline skating beginner series. These are our series about how to start inline skating and rollerblading. I am a passionate skater myself and have gained a lot of experience as a coach over the past years. This knowledge, as well as the methods for learning the different techniques and tricks I would like to pass on and share with you. In this learning video and tutorial, we will cover the topic of turning around, that is, how to turn on inline skates. For this we will look at the two techniques and tricks called "Frontside Spin" and "Backside Spin". With Frontside Spin, we can turn from skating forward to skating backward. With the Backside Spin, we can spin from going backwards to going forwards. We can learn these two tricks very quickly, but there are a few things to keep in mind to master these two spins on inline skates. In the second part of this video you will see some skate scenes and some outtakes, which were made while shooting the video. Finally, I show you two of my favorite inline skates, which I also use in this instructional video. Chapters: ► 0:00 Intro ► 1:59 Der finale Trick (Vorschau) ► 2:24 Der Frontside Spin (im Stehen) ► 7:44 Der Frontside Spin (im Fahren) ► 10:10 Der Backside Spin (im Stehen) ► 12:52 Frontside & Backside Spin (im Fahren) ► 15:15 Anwendung im Alltag & Inlineskates ► 19:57 Outtakes, Skateclips & Outro In total, I use three different inline skates in this video, which you can also find in our webshop and local store: ► www.skamidan.com/ Powerslide Phuzion Argon 100 Fitness Inline Skates (with a heel brake): ► Advantages: Super comfortable, good control, medium wheelbase for good maneuverability and agility, great grip and pleasant rolling feel. ► Disadvantages: Average speed, average support. Powerslide Next 80 Urban Inline Skates (Freeride Skates): ► Advantages: Optimal grip and control, very agile due to a short wheelbase of 243mm, all-round skate to try almost all skate disciplines. ► Disadvantages: Stiff outer shell, medium comfort, don't firt very wide feet. Powerslide Swell 110 High Performance Fitness Rollerblades: ► Advantages: Very high speed, comfortable shoe thanks to the option of heat moulding, one of the best fitness skates for long distances and high speeds. ► Disadvantages: High stance and thus usually not suitable for beginners, medium support, not made for urban skating, medium agility. Skamidan great to see your totorials again! One question regarding the spin. Is it the same to 180? It seems you take your back leg during the spin to the back again? Most tutorials insist to rotate front leg to backome back leg. Hope that makes sense 😊
Hey first of all thank you very much for your great feedback! 🙏 I'm glad to hear that you're happy about new tutorials. 🙂For the 180° you can do both, it's a personal preference, as well as it's relating for what you want to turn. If you want to turn for just skating backwards, you can do both. If you want to turn and keep as stable as possible at the same time, I prefer to keep the posture while turning (doing a 180°). For my it's hard to explain that in words, but I show it in another of my tutorials you will find over here: ua-cam.com/video/OdHFQ0jBwgY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
@@skamidanen Ah yes. Suspected the trick with setting the leg behind is for stability. That's my problem. When I do 180 I loose balance. Especially when I go quite fast.
Hi SkaMiDan. Great to see you back doing tutorials again, do you still skate aggressive??? If so I'm trying to get the courage to drop in fakie, I can skate well fakie but jumping and jumping in on quarters I'm very nervous about, any advice or video tutorials would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hey there, I'm glad that you guys are happy about new tutorials! 😃 I'm still into aggressive skating, even if not that much as in the past. However, I'll also publish brand new tutorials for aggressive skating in the future and I'm sure I'll be able to make a tutorial about how to drop in fakie. :) I put it on my bucket list! :) Thanks, Daniel
