Awesome stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of this Yeti story! I hope there's a really illusive bear wandering around the Himalayan mountains :D

What about the sense of smell? Or use of the Earth's magnetic field? Or remote communication between insects using their antennas?

I watched that documentary too! Earth unplugged god damn it XD
The ancient polar bear is a mix of grizzly bear and polar bear and it was detected in Nepal and Tibet, in the highest regional mountains, That is why the footprint analysis they had performed made a very close model to the one in the picture, because they were from teh same species originally :P

So humans can use all of those different types, both through biology, and through technology! Sweet!

But then wouldn't we see more animals going around in circles during migration? Elephants make long journeys in search of food and water & they have been recorded of going directly to water holes and valleys that they went the year before. I think, when it's a matter of survival, they will develop methods to navigate their environment. Also, when I walk my dog he knows the route I take and will tug me towards the right direction...would that be considered navigation?

It's linked to nutrition. Sweetness is associated with energy, like sugar. Bitterness is associated with poison.

If we are having this much difficulty finding only one yeti with all of the advanced software we have how are they finding each other to mate and keep propagating the species? That's why I'm gonna have to chalk this one up as BS.

Would you consider this a positive or negative effect in isolation? If these roads were not facilitating the release of carbon emissions and destroying habitat, would you consider this helpful, or is it too soon to tell?

Animals not getting lost is a misconception, They are always lost, they wander around until they find where they need to go and then miraculously WE think they are supremely gifted at finding their way.

so like if we really want to find bigfoot and the yeti why not send a big group of people to search for months. im sure they would find something

Animals dont get lost cuz generally they don't have a place to be. A den, river, or a herd of prey, etc are the only things I can think of where an animal would be keep track of its location. A human has ownership and must always return to her belongings, but animals? Wherever they are, that's where they intended to go. Sounds like a very free life. That's my take in it anyways

I think yeti is out there but the government is keeping them since yeti is man-like so they can do research. Jason Bourne from Bourne identity is made artificially in real life, I think yeti can serve it's purpose too..who knows.
