    This works well when your opposition is so deep that there are no even counter attacks. You can have numerical superiority in attack even against a back 5, and at the same time you don't have to worry about being too exposed at the back. I think the signing of Haaland made City much more agressive, especially against low blocks.

    a 1-4-6 formation can easily beat this , newcastle did this and city couldnt score a goal

      CP were running a 5-4-1 for most of the match, it just wasn't as solid as Newcastle's

      @@SpreadSheetSoccer i understand but whenever city adds a another player on a foward position ,oppposit side needs to add that defender to keep the midfield overload and forced them to play outwide
