1993 NLCS flashback. Braves were the heavily favored 100+ win team looking to return to the World Series. But the Phillies shocked everyone and punched them right in the mouth. They didn't just beat them. They pretty much dominated them.
On top of that, both times the Braves entered the postseason after storming back from 10+ game deficits to win the division only to fall apart against the Phillies.
1993: ATL 10 games back of SF
2022: ATL 10.5 games back of NYM
Also, absolutely amazing to have the Phillies be the last NL East team standing after both the Braves and Mets won 101 games only to find themselves on the golf course.

funny thing is… the only game the braves won was the home night game. further proof that they were complaining about the games being during the day because of their cheating scandal that will be revealed soon.

I love this team. Been a Phillies fan ever since I was born but I was too young to remember when the Phils were good from 08-2011. This is my first time watching this squad in the playoffs. Love this team

because phillies fans were excited to finally see there team back at home in the playoffs, it hasn’t happened in a while. But here in Atlanta we’re used to this stuff we just won a world series so whenever something good happens we dont freak out like philly but we still celebrate like a good fanbase

Honestly if you think about it, the Braves losing here is more embarrassing than the Mets losing the Wild Card series. The Braves had a best of 5 series so there was more room for error, and they won the division but had nothing to show for it.
Braves-Mets beat the crap out of one another and the de facto first round was in the regular season for the NL East (9/30-10/2). Phillies got embarrassed in the World Series with World Series record of 71 strikeouts including a Game 4 no-hitter. So you guys got both the Braves and the Mets beat.
Embarrassed that padres beat mets, wow really padres were better even in the regular season. It was a fair series.
always looking back at this as a Astros fan because I love seeing the Braves get destroyed

Amazing, the two heavyweights in the NL East don’t even make the NLCS and the Phillies who started out so badly and looked like they wouldn’t make the last wild card knock out the dominant Braves
Guys, I know people have been saying it, but words cannot describe how loud in person game 3 was. I’m sure game 4 was just as raucous but I was only a lot game 3 and even top level of the upper deck it was THUNDEROUS.
i was in the upper at game 4 and it was the best day of my life pretty much!

Amazing performance from the Phillies. The only nock on this series was the HEAVY help from the home plate umpire for the Phillies. So many bad calls that screwed Atlanta on 2 outs
