I follow RCG and Frozen Moustache (Trondheim), now I have another to follow from another part of the wonderfully entertaining Norwegian rail system. Mange Takk! The videos are excellent!
The foliage is absolutely fantastic. So many different colors, but all so subtle, so that one color doesn't dominate the scenery. Gorgeous. When I make my arrangements to travel to Norway in the future, I will be sure to remember that Easter time, Springtime is spectacular for viewing pleasure. Cheers
Between the power line brackets hanging down, the cool lighting (sometimes greenish, sometimes purplish) and the speed, the tunnels look like something right out of Star Wars. I feel like I'm in an X-wing Fighter, zipping through the middle of the Death Star looking for the Main Reactor so I can blow it's ass to Heck. Super Trippy Cool😀
Great video - thankyou! I wonder if you would consider annotating your videos like RCG on the Bergen line? For example, including the V-speed in the bottom left corner and the names and lengths of each tunnel on the routes you drive. That would be a great help to us who love lists. Many thanks, keep well and safe. xx
Hi Ginger Rail🖐️ I stumbled across your channel, and I'm glad I did! Looking forward to more content now that summer will hopefully arrive soon 😜 You're now in my Subs list, along with RCG. Keep up the good work. 🤗🇬🇧
UA-cam just recommended your channel, and for once, the recommendation was spot on. I've been sub'd to RailCowgirl for quite a long time, and now I've got an opportunity to see one of the other lines that I'm assuming she doesn't normally work. My Dad retired as a Conductor from the (one time) Reading Railroad (Pennsylvania USA), and when he was working, I recall that be had a few, but not many, opportunities to bid on jobs/routes. Perhaps it's the same in Norway? But, regardless, one thing is certain: there are enough miles of track to keep viewers happy for a long time. 😀 Great rides so far, and I'm looking forward to many more. 👍👍
Interesting tour ! The journey from Eidsvoll to Klofta (sorry but my keyboard doesn't know a "o" with a slash through it 🤔) along little villages, seas, rivers is very scenic. I wonder, what was the meaning of the track on the right in the south of Hauerseter? And I was a bit surprised, when you changed to the left track in the tunnel (Sandvika -Asker). It would be helpfull, if the written explanations in the beginning would be longer readable. I watch your videos (and of course other cabrides) on my TV with 60" diagonal because sitting on my couch and been driven through foreign countries is very relaxing in this times. (The computer is more an implement🛠 for me.)👍👍
Thank you so much for your feedback. I am still very new to this and are still learning the ropes, so I will take your advice and requests with me to upcoming videos:) The track to the right of Hauerseter is the old Gardermobanen. That line was (correct me if I am wrong) only used by freight trains until Gardermobanen as we know it today was built. It was later used to haul lumber. I do not know if they got any new plans for it at this moment. The reason for the change of track in Asker was because of the planned railroad maintenance this Easter between Asker and Drammen. Asker being the final destination to this train means that this train will turn around in Asker and go back up north. So the change of track is just a question of wich track that is available at that time. I'm glad to hear that you find my and other engineer's videos entertaining in these times:)
@@GingerRailOriginal In addition to freight and lumber, the old Gardemobanen was also used by the millitary. While not often, there sometimes was movement of soldiers stationed near Gardemoen along the line
Passenger service on this line should end at Eidsvoll, not Dal. Then people who wanted to go by train to the north, such as Trondheim, wouldn't need to first go back towards Oslo to catch their train. (Go ahead, tell me I'm just an ignorant foreigner who doesn't understand a thing about Norwegian rail travel patterns. :))
Thank you for this video. It is an absolutely fabulous video.
Re - visiting one of my favorites. Hope you're doing well, Ginger. Take care🙂

BEDANK VOOR DE MOOIE VIDEO JULIEN
Yes it is. Thank you for your feeback:)
Whats the junction at 14:42?
I am actually not quite sure. It doesn't lead anywhere. It ends just after that junction. I will look it up and try to get back to you:)
@@GingerRailOriginal Maybe Petticoat Junction 🤔
This track was buildt to derail runaway wagons. It serves litte purpose today as there is no shunting done at Dal anymore.
@@turogond Thanks! Takk for svar. Tippet nesten at det var noe sånt.
What kind of camera are you using?
Hi Jim, I am using GoPro Hero 7
